Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How do i disconnect wifi from my modem/router?

You could get more specific answers if you posted what kind of router you have.

In general, you have three basic options: 1) Disable wifi entirely 2) Change wifi password and don't tell your son (be sure to disable guest access if your router has that) 3) Restrict access to specific devices and don't include your son's.

All three of these are accomplished using your router's configuration screens, so what you would do is connect to your router by pointing your web browser at its address, usually something like http://192.168.1.1. Then you have to log in using your router's administrative user id and password. Then find the appropriate screen to do one of the options I suggested, make the change, save the change, and usually reboot your router.

These things are not always straightforward, for example, to disable wifi entirely on my Netgear WNR3500L router you have to go to the Advanced wifi options page and uncheck the setting "Enable wireless router radio".

Note: While you are in there you probably ought to change the administrative password for your router because the defaults for most brands are well-publicized and your son could get in there and lock you out or re-enable his access.

Lost my home page.i wish goole to be my home page. it has changed yo bt. why

My home page is igoogle...and I've loved it. BUT, Google is dropping igoogle November 1st and I'll have to figure out something else. It is somewhat suggested that igoogle home page users switch to Google Chrome page and set it up as a home page... and Google doesn't really even seem very excited about THAT. Hmm.. right now, the idea of setting something up with Google Chrome impresses me about as much as kissing my own sister. I'm thinking mostly about switching to Yahoo.... but there are a few others available.. You might want to check this out... http://www.techsupportalert.com/content/6-great-alternatives-igoogle.htm Good luck!!

Delete yahoo account

If you wish to delete your entire Yahoo! account (including Mail, Messenger, profile, other Yahoo! services), go to the "Delete user" page, and follow the instructions:
https://edit.yahoo.com/config/delete_user

Please note that's a permanent and complete deletion, which removes all aspects of a Yahoo user account.

See also this Yahoo! help page:
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/ymail/account/account-11.html

-------------------------------
If you simply wish to close the Yahoo! Mail account (but without deleting other Yahoo! services), you should simply stop using the account. Yahoo! deactivates email accounts which are not used for 120 days. (You may later reactivate the Yahoo! Mail account if you wish, although you cannot restore old email messages.)

See this Yahoo! help page:

Want classic e-mail page back

To switch back to the Classic version
You should see a small link "Switch to original My Yahoo!" in the upper right hand corner of you My Yahoo page (there is also a small link at the very bottom of the page)
--Click on this link and a confirmation page will come up.
--Click on the "Switch Back" button and you should be back to your old (classic) My yahoo page.

If that doesn't work, try.
http://cm.my.yahoo.com/switch

@@This works for most people (myself included and I switch back and forth all the time). If on your next visit, you are greeted with a promo page asking you if you wish to see your new beta page, click on the small "cancel" link and this should switch you back to your classic styled Yahoo page.

@@NOTE: As per a previous answerer, who claims to have called Yahoo support and was told: "The old page is permanently gone." I am still using it, so I know that is not the case for everyone (at least at this time), so it is possible that your old Classic version may be gone permanently.

Hope this helps
Thanks
Arnob

Why does Yahoo not show up as my home page when I sign in to the Internet?

There are two likely reasons. First, you don't have Yahoo set up as your home page. All browsers have a place where you can tell it what to use as your home page. In Firefox, pick Tools from the menu bar, then Options, and pick the General tab. There's a box where you can enter your home page. If you use Internet Explorer, click on Tools, then Internet Options, and then the General tab. If you're using another browser (Google Chrome, Safari), the Help information will tell you how to set your home page.

The second possibility is that some malware application has changed (hijacked) your home page. If your home page used to be Yahoo, and now it's not and you didn't change it, this is probably why. You can download MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware and scan your computer. If something has infected your computer, this is a good program to find and eliminate it.

HOME PAGE COMING UP AS ASK HOME PAGE WAS COMING UP WITH YAHOO SEARCH- LEFT 6 YEAR OLD NEPHEW ON PS KIDS RETURNED TO FID ASK AS HOME PAGE

Depending on the browser you are using, you need to reset your home page. Go to the web page you wish to use as you home page. Then go to TOOLS and COMPUTER OPTIONS. Once here look for "USE CURRENT PAGE AS HOME PAGE".
Below are the firefox and internet explorer pages. Just make sure you are on the page you want as your new homepage.

Good Luck
