Question about New Home Sewing Machines
It has a knee foot pedal with a plug in the back that the light plug and motor plugs to. The electric plug I need plugs into the back to this box and goes to the wall outlet.

SOURCE: light dims when you sew
the problem is that the cord that was replaced on it is too light for the sewing machine. some companies sell cords that are made with 18awg wire 18awg wire can only deliver enough electricity to run the motor sapping up all of the power from the light as soon as you push the pedal. you need to get a cord made by singer or rewire your cords with 16awg wire... 16awg wire is the standard wire for all vintage singer sewing machines it keeps the light nice and bright...... hope this helps
