How do I open the lock if I do t know the code? Tenant changed it when they moved? And I can't find your answer

Hi Dick

Are you talking about your actual lock on the door or a mobile phone? If it's your lock on the door.... I would suggest trying to find out your landlord can get a hold of the old tenant... or you have to call a locksmith who will have to take a look. First, call your landlord and get them to contact the old tenant to see if they know the code.

Can anyone please tell me the best tenant screening service out there? I don't want complete screening services.....just the background reports and all; and don't even want to spend a lot?

'Not spending a lot' could cost you dearly. I read a great story in a magazine of a couple who went to live abroad for 2 years and left an agency to rent out there house. It was rented to a 'nice' man who said it was for his wife and son. What actually happened was that he added partition walls to various rooms and rented the house to 16 single students, some three to a room. The fire officer wasn't impressed.

I'm a tenant, everyone & pretty much everything is ok except this one tenant that lives in the apt.directly under me! We are both in our 60's! He puts his tv/music on really really loud starting at around...

He probably has hearing problems. Try talking to him nicely about it and mention that he could buy a wireless headphone system for his TV which isn't too expensive. This way all are happy.

Is a refrigerator usually plugged in to a GFI outlet?

It is not good practice to use refrigerator on a GFI. it is not that it wont work but every time a gfi trips it is degraded. GFI can also be daisy chained up to 4 other plugs can be conneced to it if the electrician wired it that way.

A refrigerator is suppos to be on a dedicated circut.

Goodman is are decent (builders grade) equipment. Not as good as Trane or Carrier but if it's installed correctly it should be fine. Goodman is mainly a residential brand but they do make some light commercial equipment which again is decent as long as it is put in correctly.
