SOURCE: MIG wire is always hot without pulling trigger

Check your manual, there are a lot of mig units on the market that are alway "Live" alternatively, the relay has either shorted or you have wirering problem on the switch.

SOURCE: northern tool mig welder,120 volt with gas.The

This welder is made in China. I have one and it works fine. Parts and service are available from northern tool. 1-800 # is on the book. FYI this 135 gas no gas looks exactly like the Lincoln SP135 and Lincoln workmate 135. GOTO the lincoln site and bring up the manual. It is a free download and is a much better manual than the one it came with. I agree with the previous post. Put a continuity test on the 2 wires that come from the trigger. there is a wire diagram in the book that came with it. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: i have a solar mig

I found the solution to my problem. Willyboy695, My machine was working fine, but the wire was HOT all the time. Not a good scenario..and dangerous.

I contacted USAWeld on ebay. Jeff Nolan put me onto the problem, my RELAY, which is a solid state item, had gone bad. I replaced the relay, and the welder is up and running as it has for over 20 yrs. The relay, CRYDOM D2440 was replaced, and the unit on your machine may be a different number, but give this a try.

Jeff Nolan can be reached at:

I hope that helps.

Phase three on cv or cc have current going to mig wire, wire is live without hitten gun trigger. mega arc is hooked up to a Hobart suitcase

May need to take gun apart and see if trigger is sticking or replace lead.

we use Miller at work. The feeder has a switch that makes the trigger turn off and on with quick pull of trigger so you don't have to hold it entire time.

check wiring to make sure it's wired right so your not bypassing the trigger switch.

hope it helps.

How do i fix "Trig Stuk" on my Miller welder?

Assuming the Trig Stuk is a message on a display tells me you have a later model welder. Try downloading the manual from Miller. Or if you're adventurous look at the trigger and see if it is stuck, take it apart, clear any debris blocking the trigger contact (preventing it from opening after the trigger is released). Check for cut or twisted wires and see if they are connected at the wire feed motor or has one come off? Is a piece of weld wire touching the motor feed connections?

the current setting is not working correctly
indicates that the amp setting for the wire is too low or if it is an inverter , the volts setting is far too low

Can the lincoln 305 d 1727-3 mig weld

If it has a setting for constant volatge, that is for wire feeders, flux cored or mig. Constant current is for stick welding. Some wire feeders have a switch to use them with a constant current machine, but that doesnt work very well, and , in my opinion, is hard on the computer in the feeder.

It looks like the ones we use in the field with a ln-25 wire feeder and flux cored wire. for mig you will also need a bottle of sheilding gas.

How do you hook a miller s-22p8 wire feeder to a lincoln ranger 10,000 plus engine driven welder?

you can't, the S-22P8 it's not a volt sensing wire feeder, it requires 24V or 115 with an adapter. FOr CV machines only.

Miller 350p welder gives a "help 3" code.

Code help-3 Indicates that the gun trigger was pulled and held during power up. Release gun trigger and clear fault condition. Also, this display can Indicate no open circuit voltage detected when gun trigger is pulled and no arc detected within 3 seconds, this means that the trigger was held without any metal contact. The machine will shut down in order to avoit the wire to continue to run freely.

To fix:

Turn on the machine without pressing the trigger on the gun. Then increase to the max the wire speed. Then turn off the machine. Press the trigger after the machine was turn off, then without releasing the trigger, turn on the machine and release the trigger after 2 seconds. That will take care of it.

Relay clicks, gas blows, rollers dont turn

If you use it regularly, the liner should be replaced about every 6 months. Make sure you get a wiper for the wire. It goes inside the machine, on the wire, just before the feed rollers. It keeps the dust from clogging the liner.

ask weld tech at a welding supply store and ask if your components are compatible (since most wire feeders are 24 volts).
