SOURCE: Date Changes during the day

Hi Jeffrey, Put stem into "set hands" position and adjust hands to the 12:00 position. Day and date should advance at or close to that time. If you pass 12:00 and there's no change continue rotating another 12 hours and they should advance. Once youv'e found that there's midnight so if you're setting the time at say four (4:00) in the afternoon (pm) you will neew to rotate the hands so around the dial so they pass 12:00 once more then four hours more to 4:00. Now I assume by bilingual you mean that the day ring has like Mon (monday) and Lun for Spanish or the like. In this case if it's showing the wrong languare set the crown (winder) to the first position (second posn is "set hands) and rotate winder eithr clockwise or anticlockwise. Once you discover how to advance the day ring just set it to the correct day/language you want and press the crown home. Hope this solves your problem. If the advances are changing at some obscure time like 8:40 or something it's because the hands pave been located incorrectly and would need correcting by removing movement from the case.

Can not set the date and day

I assume you are talking about a day-date Timex. Timex watches do have a quickset feature meaning the day and date can be set without having to simply advance the time by 24 hours to adjust the Day-Date. Not all watches have a quickset, but I'm sure your Timex does. Unscrew the crown from the stem by turning it counter clockwise until it is free from the threads. At this point pull the crown all the way out so that you can adjust the time. That's position 2 the quickset is in position 1 but the tricky part is getting the crown in the proper position to engage the quickset. Push the crown in very slowly while turning once you see the day or date window advance stop turning you are in position 1. Day and date can be set in this position by turning the crown in either direction. If your watch does not have a quickset or you cannot figure out how to engage it you must set the date by advancing the time forward 24 hours. This will make the date window advance by one day. Once the right date is displayed turn the time backwards 24 hours and this will cause the day window to move without affecting the date window. And that's all there is to it.

How to set the date and time on timex t20471

There are two crown positions on this timepiece. The furthest out, or second position, sets the analog time hands. The first crown position in one direction sets the day, and in the other sets the date. To access the first crown position, pull the crown out very slowly until you feel a "click" or pull the crown out all the way and push it in slowly until you feel a "click" with your fingers.

To set the watch:

1) Pull the crown to the second position and bring the hour and minute hand to the 12:00 position, if it switches the day and date after moving past, you are then in AM time.

2) Set the time appropriately to AM/PM. Use http://www.time.gov/ for the most accurate time.

3) Put the crown in the first click position. Set the Date and Day appropriately, having determined the AM/PM time setting. This will ensure that the day/date change at 12:00 midnight instead of 12:00 noon.

Fix date n month on wrist watch

mcdevito75 here The stem has 2 positions, we all know the 1 to pull the stem out and set the time, day, date. try this, first go thru the watches 24 hour cycle to get the month you need, now slip a fingernail just under the stem (crown) and gently lift to it"s first position, it may take a few times to get used to, when you have it turn the crown (stem) to change the date easily, change the date to 1 date before the date you want, now go thru the watches 24 hour cycle to get to the date you need. Now the watch is set and will change on time at around mid--nite.

Trouble with Fossil ME1014

I looked at a picture of the watch. I see the date. the dial that is right below the hands is a moon dial which does the phases of the moon & below that you have a separate second hand. A lot of times on a watch that looks like that if you pull the crown where you set the watch with out half a click it will set the date if you turn it on way and the moon dial if you turn it the other way. To set the moon dial on the watch you need to put it on the full moon when the moon is full again then it will keep up with the phases of the moon. I hope this helps.
