Hi Arthur!

"Clear tube" means that there is a blockage in the discharge pipe. The machine asks you to clean it.

SOURCE: My Maytag front load washing machine's control

The Control Lock is actually a safety feature that enables the consumer to lock the control panel to prevent small children from manipulating the controls and accidentally starting the appliance. This can usually be reset and does not require a technician.

With the lock on, the control panel is disabled and you cannot use any of the controls, except the button to unlock it. It can inadvertently be set following a power outage, leaning against the control panel, or pressing and holding the wrong button. This is usually not an indication of a malfunction.

If this is a Whirlpool manufactured front loader, the following link explains how to lock/unlock this feature:

These instructions are also printed on the front panel of the appliance and in the owner's manual.

If this does not correct your problem, then you may have a more serious problem than a simple operator control button issue (such as an operator console problem). Please post back and let me know if you require additional assistance. I hope this helps you.

NOTE: Maytag Epic is manufactured by Whirlpool, so these instructions should apply.

I have a Panasonic washing machine. When i switch on, water could not flow into the washing machine's tub

Let's run through the basics first, is the supply tap on? Is the supply hose free of kinks? Is the inline filter in the supply hose clean?

If not those, does the door lock work also? If this doesn;t then it could be a faulty lock not letting anything happen as it thinks the door is open

Washing Machine not stopping water flow

in the back of the machine attached to the bowl is a small tube that goes up to the controller in the dash panel. This tube should be straight with no kinks or pinch points. This is pitote tube and conveys pressure to the controller diaphragm that connects to a micro switch that turns the water off and the machine on. As the water rises the air trapped in the tube increases in pressure and pushes on the diaphragm. Sometimes if there is water trapped in the tube it stops working You control the pressure that the diaphragm works at by the water level you select

DE code, machine will not run. door working properly

DE indicates a door lock error.

Either the door lock, wiring or main control board can cause this fault. The door lock is relatively inexpensive so it would be worth trying a new door lock first.

Check the wiring between the door lock and the control board. If a new door lock doesn't fix it and the wiring is ok you are only left with the control board.

Hope this helps.

Top-load washing machine wont stop filling. It is as if the machine does not know when the proper water level is reached. However, if I advance the knob, it will proceed into the wash cycle just fine...

There is a scensor in the controll panel it have a tube connect to it.
that is the level switch .
make sure that the tube is clean by taking it out and run water with bleach make sure the tube is not damage.
hook it up again and check the machine again if it solve the problem dont forget to rate me, if you still have a problem let me know we will work on it more...

Simpsom concorde 741 washing machine it does not switch of the water level at the level asked for

Unplug the machine from the power point. Open the top hatch, two screw under the lid (they normally have a plastic cap over them which pulls out). Also two nuts behind the machine, from memory they are a number 7 nut.

Gently lift up the top hatch. You will see a thin tube which runs from the side of the Drum/Tank up to the control panel. Remove tube (it has a spring loaded clip where it joins to the tank. Make sure the tube is not clogged or dirty inside. If it is you need to replace the tube.

If the tube is clean, blow into it. You will hear a clicking noise under the control panel, where the water level dial is. that is your pressure switch.

The pressure switch has an adjustment on it, but it is best not to tamper with it, as if you get it wrong, you will flood your house.

Make sure you refit the tube properly as well.

In most cases though the tube itself gets dirty and the air pressure does not rise up to the pressure switch properly.

Good luck

Dishes not washing clean

check water level in machine
may be not filling enough and the wash pump is starved from water thus not pushing water to upper arm
drain water from machine dismantle and clean out air tube to pressure switch take off air tube at pressure switch and blow back into sump then pinch air tube with fingers to stop air from flowing back up tube then refit to p/s
run and see if that solves problem
