SOURCE: I have a yamaha electone hs4, The foot pedals do not work.

JM: Your problem is this: There are rubber washerson the bolt that holds the pedal on. They are shot. Most likely Yamaha doesnot have the parts.Go to the plumbing dept of a hardware store and get some faucet washers and replace them. YYou can tell if the washers are shot by tiping over the organ and looking at the pivot bolt. Most likely that is yoiur problem. I am an organ tech. and have replaced many of these. DM

Here is where you can get the service manual:http://celedoniaorgan.netfirms.com/cosco/nfoscomm/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=1021&osCsid=3eaaa99d6bfceeaaf9b844687ba58d55 Since the problem is with the foot pedal note and the keyboard note I would suspect that there is a problem with the tone generation circuit for that note. You might try cleaning the key contacts on both for that note first to see if that works. The volume pedal probably just needs the volume pot cleaned with contact cleaner spray. I hope this helps. Let me know if it does.

SOURCE: A few of the keys do not work on my LK-35

This is likely a dirty contact thing... FIRST excersize them a bit to see if they come back.

Else you will have to clean them... If they are conductive rubber type, clean the board and the rubber contact pilss with 99% isoprophyl alcohol and Q tips.

get schematic from web search, find tone generator for Bb, look at PCB where connections are for possible cold solder joints or bad tone generator.

I purchased a used Hammond Organ Aurora, Model 700, 710 C125 but the previous owner did not have the manual for it. I am looking for a manual so I know how and what to do to play it. I don't know what...

Try the organforum . com. There are a lot of Hammond people there. The model 700 is the base model and probably enough to get you started.
Also just get a organ music book as a lot of the vernacular is in those. Also check your library for organ books. OFTEN the user manuals aren't much use to learn the instrument.

Most organs will either have tabs or drawbars. These select the type of "voice" and often one selects more than one as a mix. Each keyboard is refered to as a "Manual". Most organs have foot pedals. Each of the manuals and the foot pedals will have a seperate set of tabs associated with them.

To get started, turn on the organ and press the expression pedal which controls the volume... experiment setting a few tabs or drawbars an play notes on the manuals. You will soon learn what controls what.

Note that some models of Hammond organs used rotating tone wheels and those require lubrication. Those that do, usually have a power switch labelled "start" and "Run". These organs are usually higher value and one should have them serviced before using.

Looking for a schematic of the Casio ctk-700 to

The keyboard is LIKELY scanned as a matrix.

You have two problems:

The contacts in the Thomas will have to be totally disconnected rendering use of any of the Thomas organ unlikely.

The second problem is that the keyboard LIKELY has velocity sensing. This means TWO contacts must be used PER note. One contact "makes" first and "breaks" last. This is used for velocity sensing on synths. The Thomas foot pedals likely only have a single contact per pedal, and even if they had two, it is unlikely they sequentially close..

The matrix scanning is accomplished by sensing the connection of two crossing points on a matrix of circuit lines. USUALLY each of 12 wires tie to all of one note across the board. Then two other lines for each octave "strobe" the first make contact and then the second of those strobes the second make contact. There are two of these strobe lines for EACH octave on the board.

Remember that these lines scan at digital logic speeds so wire length and NOISE/STAIC DISCHGARGE PROTECTION is a must.
