Question about Televison & Video
I have a Panasonic, TH-50PE700U that went from working great with a great picture, to the next day, having a black screen. The sound works great, but there is no longer any picture at all. There are not any lines or any other things on the screen. It does lighten up as if the power is on, but there are no pictures, colors, anything. The TV menu screens still work and display, but I am not getting anything from the cable signal coming in to the HDMI 1 feed. Any thoughts on what troubleshooting I should follow to narrow the issue and/or suggestions on what part should be replaced?
get the power supply checked and the screen back light too. if possible change the screen .

SOURCE: HDMI Signal gone
The HDMI interface may have suffered a malfunction, this offten happens due to stray voltages on the ground plane. If you do not have electronics experience I would suggest taking the set to the shop and having it repaired

SOURCE: HDMI inputs are not working
As crcelect suggests you can run the TV on RCA. You should also be able to use coax directly from your cable box. If you don't have cable you can use an rf converter to connect coax.
I have exactly the same problem with my Panasonic TH-42PX75U. I've been told that I may need to run a setup on my cable box to fix the problem. If I find a solution I'll provide details in a future post.

There are 4 or 5 ribbon cables on the bottom or on one side, they control part of the plasma screen. Check the ribbon cablenear the black lines. Unplug the ribbon cable and look for black chipson the underside of it, I think they say 100 on them, you need toresolder both ends on each chip. Should fix the black line issue.
