the machine has a broken wire to motor possibly
check that first
does machine spin
otherwise at the bottom of gearbox under drive pulley there is a pring on main shaft and tah locks gearbox up
if this starts slipping on shaft it will only wash one way
remove and rough up shast refit and grease

SOURCE: clothes come out tangled
Things tend to intertwine in the washer, even more so in front loaders. The only things that I have found that help is to use fabric softener, a gentler cycle, and an extra rinse. This alleviates the problem some for me, but it doesn't really go away entirely.

If you can use a lollipop stick to operate the lid switch while you leave the lid open, you will be able to observe if the agitator is going smoothly back and forth EVENLY or not. If it is tending to turn just one way....this will tangle the clothing like mad!
If this is the problem it could be the switching module or capacitor that needs replacing.
