Some times when you get a new cart. a fine film can be blocking the exit hole,check that this is clear by shaking the cart. up and down over a large piece of paper ,if you do not get any ink out ,take a small pin and gently insert it into the exit hole and move it around in a circle, don't go to deep,then try shaking it again..? Another idea is to replace all the carts.(colour ones also) as some printers wont work unless you do this, after changing carts. disconect your printer from mains supply and leave for about 15 minuets to reset..Hope this works for you good luck. I have the same problem. Everything on the printer is working just fine. It'll do a test page just fine, so everything's working right. The %$^ thing just won't print. It makes noise like it's printing when you give it a print job, but it spits out blank pages.
Sometimes your printer print blanks pages, if your printer is out of ink. You can check the quantity of ink in the status of the printer. Sometimes, your printer displays messages if it is out of ink. So if you are facing such issues, you need to refill the ink in your printer. Communication problem with the printer and computer is also a reason for printing blank pages.
This has been just happening with me aswell - I just changed the colour cartridge with the black cartridge ran out but i kept it in as it told me to place one in. Trying to print out but black ink wont come - just blank pages - surely the colour cartridge can make black? However, if you have the colour cartridge and are on microsoft word or similar, change the colour of the writing to dark navy and it will print out documents.
This is just a suggestion. I recently bought a Staples refilled cartridge and had to return it because it did not work. When returning it the Staples Rep said that 50% of the cartridges do not work and get returned. This was an astounding amount I told the rep. Means nothing to him but to you, you may need to return the black cartridge if it is or is not a refill and try it out again. Let me know if that works.
