SOURCE: I have Black and decker electric lawn mower does not start

one of the problems i found with electric detectors was that they do not tell you if there is a break in the neutral cable so you could have a break there, another problem is that the levers can break inside the cover giving the impression that it should work but is not making contact with the switch ,hope this helps

SOURCE: Morrison 1400W electric lawn mower goes for 20 secs.

I would think that switch may be faulty? Or is it a momentary switch only?, if so, then you have an input to the controller problem, insomuch as it starts, runs, for some reason thinks there is a problem & shuts down, whereby the switch is being pressed, so it "Sees" this and starts again, and so on?

Where do I get motor parts for a self-propelled Toro lawn mower with an electric starter?

What parts are you looking for? you can usually buy parts at your local small engine repair shop or you can look for the specific parts you need on ebay. or google. just make sure that the parts you order are for your mowers specific model # which can be found on a sticker on the mower deck or stamped on the engine.

Where is the fuse box on gt 5000 craftsman lawn mower?

If you think your riding lawn mower has blown a fuse, trying to locate that fuse may be the most challenging step in replacing it. While different lawn mower manufacturers have located the fuse holder in different areas of the lawn mower, the best place to start looking is near the mower's battery, according to Sears.

Some manufacturers have made it easy to find the fuse holder. Simply lift the hood. The fuse holder is molded into the metal right inside the hood, near the battery. (See photo at Ref. 3, p. 53) If the battery is located beneath the seat, you may find the fuse holder located beneath the rear fender. Other manufacturers make it more challenging, placing the fuse inside an electrical box, located behind the mower's upper air baffle. (Ref. 4, p. 28) Fuses can also be located on or close to the edge of the mower's electrical panel, above the solenoid.

If you check these locations and still cannot find the fuse holder, check your operator's manual for a diagram of the electrical system, which should display the fuse's location. If you no longer have your manual, it may be available online through the manufacturer's website. Should you be unable to find a manual, call a local lawn mower dealership or lawn mower repair shop and ask for assistance in locating the fuse in your exact model.

I have accidently cut the electric cable on lawnmower..can it be fixed

    hi there pauly 46 here

    your answer is yes

BUT ! -- it it is something that cannot be endorsed as a safe repair or recommended
for a electric lawn mower such as yours - the best option is to buy a new complete cord set
as a electrical repair shop would not want to take the risk of possible electrical shock
if repair was to fail in use

and more so the ends of those cords are molded and cannot be replaced seperatly

off the top of my head a new cord could set you back about 100 $ possibly ?

    sorry for the bad news

    cheers pauly 46

The electric lawn mower motor runs. When pushed over the grass, the motor weakens and grinds to a halt. It cannot handle the resistance..

Thank you for posting your question here on Fixya.com.

If the unit has worked up to this point without problem then you need to look inside the motor and examine the brushes on the armature. They are likely worn down, which they will do over time, and will need to be replaced. The armature should be stoned or polished at the same time. If you are unfamiliar with these repairs a local electric motor shop MAY help but then again may not. A lawn mower repair is also a 50/50 bet since they are accustomed to working on gas driven units.

Left the electric lawn mower in the rain this winter thinking it was like the gas one. Will not hold a charge. How do we fix?

If you are not mechanically inclined, You may want to seek the help of your local mower shop. However, If you can take the top off. Make sure you make a diagram of the wiring or a picture before you take any thing apart. Take the batteries out and get them load tested. If you have a Battery Plus in your area, You may be able to get new batteries from them.
