Maytag model MSD2574VEM11. The ice dispenser will not stop / turn off with the door closed. Stops as soon as door is opened.

I have unplugged the refrigerator and let sit for 10 minutes before plugging back in. Dispenser motor immediately starts running when plugged in.

SOURCE: Ice dispenser in door will not dispense ice

this could be the:
door switch (usually 2 switches, 1 for the light and 1 for the dispenser) auger motor itself the dispenser switch or the plug near the hinge that connects the door the the refrigerator has a bad connection. this connection is hidden under a plastic hinge cap usually.

SOURCE: lights on panel blinking. ice dispenser keeps opening and closing

there is the HV board on the back under a cover . 2 680uf capacitors @ 35v are likely domed instead of flat on the top and are likely hot. replacing these with an equal value will cure the problem. they are in parallel so 1000 and 470uf will cure it. mine was same model except white. local dealer said no warranty. did not call maytag but he indicated it might help. good luck

My Fisher and Paykel fridge is making a whirring noise when the doors are closed. When I open the doors or freezer bottom it stops. When I push the water dispenser it stops. It is not plumbed yet.

this is probably one of the two fans has got a little noisey, they are designed to stop as soon as a door has been open so not to blast you with cold air

Ice and water dispensing intermittently on my Maytag model MF2568AES12 refrigerator. I replaced the light switch in the freezer, which didn't help. What should I do next?

On top of the fridge underneath the plastic cover for the door hinge probably on the door with the water/ice dispenser should be a wiring harness. This runs the ice dispenser and water. There should be a wiring harness plug there. Try unplugging it and reconnecting. This may be the cause since you said it's intermittent and with opening and closing the door it may be causing the plug to ever so slightly move around and loose electrical connection.

Walk in freezer solenoid not opening

Many Kenmore side-by-side refrigerators have an ice and water dispenser installed on the outside of the freezer door. The ice dispenser has a flap that opens to allow ice to be released, and closes after dispensing to keep the cold air inside of the freezer. The dispenser flap is opened and closed by a solenoid, that when energized pulls the plunger attached to the flap, opening the door. If the flap stops opening and closing, it is likely due to a faulty solenoid.

Ice dispenser stuck on

Either the paddle for the ice/water dispenser is stuck or you have a bad microswitch behind the dispenser.
To stop the ice/water from dispensing open the freezer door and press or hold the child lock button down. Once the unit is in child lock mode you can shut the door without energizing the dispenser.
Another option is to remove the upper freezer door hinge cover and disconnect the wire connector up there. This will remove voltage from the dispenser as well. Then either replace the paddle or switch. Sometimes the paddles/switches will get stuck because of splash up from ice dropping in sugary drinks.

Ice dispenser appearing to get stuck in the open

The noise is probably the solenoid which operates the door or the one that switches it from cube to crushed ice. Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman";} You'll have to look to see what's wrong.

Remove the dispenser cover by gently prying starting at the bottom going round and round a little at a time to prevent from breaking it. When it's off the screws will be exposed to access the other components.
Here's a diagram of the dispenser which may help.

The door switch is designed to turn off the dispenser control when the door is open and the light comes on. Pressing the switch with the door open turns on the dispenser controls and the sounds of relays and solenoid coils would be normal unless it is affecting your dispenser or ice maker. GSH25KGRWW dispenses ice/water all by itself! Heard noise last night, and refrigerator was dispensing ice all over the floor!! Attempted to stop by tapping the lever, but this had no effect; pushed water...

as you explained that by opening the freezer door the problem stopped the problem is: that you have a pinched dispenser wire or, two in the area between the door and, the door opening
these wires are low voltage so they are not going to cause a fire
but, if they touch the cabinet due to a bare wire they will ground and, start running the dispenser.
the door cover needs to be removed and, the problem (usually at the door hinge must be found and, corrected i.e. wire taped, shielded etc.

Water/Ice Dispenser buzzes loudly as soon as freezer door closes.

I am not sure what would be buzzing, but besides the parts in this area that are worked manually, this means that the working parts are not electric they are manual working parts, the parts that are electric are the lights and a switch for different ice types, if you have this option. You can remove the cover
by pushing up on the plastic plate that surrounds the ice/water area with the lights on it, on the back you will see the electric connections to the chip board, you could unplug these connections and see if the noise stops. Now every fridg is the same so make sure there are not any screws holding the plate
on before you try to push it up so it can be removed. Any questions please post back.

We have a french door botom freezer maytag w/ and electronic water/ice dispenser. Model #mfi2568ae In the middle of the night the ice dispenser started opening and closing by itself and the led display is...

Don't be duped into thinking the display/dispenser board is the culprit. It may come a surprise, but this failure is often misdiagnosed. Because the dispenser is causing such a ruckus or because the display itself is blank or flickering, folks are led to believe that the display control board itself is the part that has failed. Looking at the history of our board evaluations, this little tiny control board rarely fails. And as crazy as it may seem, it is the main control board, aka the high voltage control of the fridge that is causing your refrigerator not to cool and the dispenser to be erratic.... This is the main control board of the refrigerator, located on the back of the unit. I've attached photos of what this main control board looks like. This main control board will need to be repaired to replaced.
