I need to replace the Glass Door and Plastic handle on my Table Top Convection Oven

OK, so please do a google search for terms
Parts, Make and Model of your unspecified table top convection oven
You may search in those websites for your parts and may contact them asking for specific parts.
Also, you may look for one near your area, if you may visit them personally.

The glass turn table wont spin??

Hi, Your problem lies with one or both areas. If you remove the glass turn table, you'll see a plastic grooved driver that goes thru the floor. See if you can lift up and remove it. Does it look broken? If not, there is a drive motor underneath that drives this plastic piece which turns the turntable. You'll need the model number to take to your local parts house for replacements. Hope this helps.

Our turn table doesn't turn anymore . . .something underneath seems to be broken. Thank you!

If the oven is still heating, but the carousel isn't turning, this problem is commonly attributed to a turntable motor that has worn out and may need to be replaced. The motor is attached to the center plastic piece (called a turntable shaft or coupler) under the middle of the glass tray. The following link explains how to access and replace the motor:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3555716-replacing_a_turntable_motor_on_a_microwa

This is a very simple repair, that usually is not expensive. The price range will be determined by the model and manufacturer. This repair can also be performed on an over the range model microwave oven WITHOUT uninstalling it.

You can refer to any of the following websites for comparison:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

The first three sites listed have helpful exploded view diagrams to assist you with locating and properly identifying the part(s) you need. You may also consider replacing the turntable shaft if it shows signs of wear.

If you have any questions, please post back with your MODEL NUMBER and let me know. I hope this helps you.

My ge microwave spacemaker has a rattling sound when in use. disappears when turntable is turned off.

You may have a turn table motor that is beginning to fail. The following link explains how to access and replace one:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3555716-replacing_a_turntable_motor_on_a_microwa

This is a very simple repair, that usually is not expensive. The motor usually averages about $35 - $40, but the price also depends upon the model. This repair can also be performed on an over the range model microwave oven WITHOUT uninstalling it.

You can purchase replacement parts at the any of the following websites:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

The first three sites listed offer helpful exploded view diagrams to assist you in parts location/identification. If you have any questions, please post back with your model number and let me know. I hope this helps you.

NOTE: You may consider replacing the turn table coupler (also known as a turn table shaft) as well. This is the small plastic shaft that connects to the turn table motor and is the visible piece inside the oven where the glass tray sits. The coupler will simply pull straight up and come off the motor shaft. They can wear out and begin to slip on the motor shaft.

How do I replace the coupler that turns the table

If yo are referring to the turn table MOTOR, the following link explains how to access and replace:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3555716-replacing_a_turntable_motor_on_a_microwa

This is a very simple repair, that usually is not expensive. The motor usually averages about $35 - $40, but the price also depends upon the model. Since you did not include your MODEL NUMBER, I do not know how much yours would be.

NOTE: If you are referring to the turn table coupler, this is the small plastic shaft that connects to the turn table motor. This is the visible piece inside the oven where the glass tray sits. The coupler will simply pull straight up and come off the motor shaft. It can also be replaced if required. However, if the coupler were bad, the motor would still run. This would cause the glass tray to slip while turning.

Turntable appears to be turning, but when you put the glass plate on top of the plastic spindle, it will not turn.

This problem is commonly caused by a turntable motor that has worn out and needs replaced. The following link explains how to access and replace one:

This is a very simple repair, that usually is not expensive. The motor usually averages about $35 - $40, but the price also depends upon the model. This repair can also be performed on an over the range model microwave oven WITHOUT uninstalling it.

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

The first three sites listed offer helpful exploded view diagrams to assist you in parts location/identification. If the model number is correct, the part number for a replacement is 56001231. You may also consider replacing the turn table shaft. This is what connects to the turntable motor and the carousel plate rests on. The part number is 56001235. If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

Plastic peice that fits under plate inside micowave that makes it rotate

If the model number you have this question listed under is correct, there are two possible parts based on your question. There is the carousel ring, that turns the glass tray, and there is the small plastic coupler that the center of the glass tray is supported by. The part numbers are as follows:

Carousel ring - WB06X10513
Coupler - WB06X10564

You can view and excellent exploded view diagram of this microwave at pcappliancerepair.com. The parts I mention are listed under Diagram 1151005 as items 84 and 101 respectively.

To replace the coupler, you simply remove the glass tray and gently pry straight up. The coupler will pull off of the turn table motor shaft. Insert the new coupler and press on to the shaft.

If this is not the correct model number, please post back with your correct information so that I may be able to provide you with better assistance. I hope this helps you.

Microwave Turn Table

This could be a failing turntable motor, but more likely your turntable support has gotten bent. That's an easier and cheaper problem to solve. Excessive heat can sometimes make the legs of the support bend so that the center is raised up far enough that it won't always make good contact with the motor. You can test this by running the microwave empty for a few seconds. It may hesitate to turn or stutter. Next try it with a bowl with several cups of water in it. The extra weight may push it down so it makes good contact and runs without a hitch. The way I fix these is to use a stove burner or a torch to heat up the legs and bend them up a bit. Then I quickly set up or clamp the support so it's held in the proper position for a few minutes until it cools. One way to hold the heated support in position is to place an object under the end of each leg and put something slightly heavy on top of it in the middle. If you need a new motor or just want to see helpful exploded views of your model, see the GE or Sears parts Web site: http://www.geappliances.com/shop/prts/ http://www3.sears.com/
