An internal fuse could be open or the power supply may have failed.

My Luxor TV switches off after 1 min when on hdmi channels but when I press a button on the remote the screen comes back on. Do you know if there is some kind of screen timeout I need to turn off?

There is, but your description suggests other.
This is usually a problem with overheating.
Make sure there is sufficient airflow and there is no dust blocking the vents.
Otherwise try rerouting the cables away from each other, especially the power cord.

Thanks Andy
Also they can be very sensitive to the brand/quality of the HDMI lead, try another higher quality lead and make sure the lead is not touching or close to any power cords or wall sockets, other than that, you may have capacitor issues from previous overheating, is your climate cool or do you have very hot summers? capacitors made in cooler countries often blow in warmer climates. Could mean it will soon stop working all together.

Can I suggest ....if you have not already done so.....Switch off from the power button. Switch off from wall socket. Leave for a few minutes. Plug in..switch on....Make sure if you have a remote the batteries are OK..renew if you need to.

Vizio e420va no power no light

Suggest to plug unit in another outlet and run basic troubleshooting again as per user guide.

May want to unplug unit and hold power button for 30 seconds for power cycle.

May want look very closely to screen to see if you are still able to get moving images. (Backlight might be dead)

If none works suggest service for unit.

Why won't my Panasonic 42 TCP42S30 42 Plasma TV turn on.

Switch off TV, switch off power, remove plug and wait for 48 hours and retry.
If problem persists, I suggest it is better to refer it to a qualified service
technician, since the back cover has to be opened for investigation/rectification.

Luxor tv will not power up and red light just keep flashing

I just pull out the mains plug for a few seconds then put it back in. The red light keeps flasing for a while (be patient) then stays solid red. When I then switch on again with the remote it is fine. I often have to do this.
