Question about Honda Garden

1 Answer

I have a Honda GC190 power washer that starts and works just fine as long as I'm spraying. When I release the trigger, the engine stalls and shuts down. Is there a by-pass that may be not working?

HOW DO I DRAIN THE WATER FROM MY HP WASHER FOR WINTER

What I've always done is just disconnect the water hose then start the washer and pull the trigger till no more water comes out. You don't want to run it very long at all after there's no more water though, you can quickly overheat the pump if it is ran without a water supply for too long. I've been doing this for the past 3 years with one of my washers and haven't had any problems with the pump.

Honda GC190 can't pull starter cord

This is a problem with GC-160 and GC-190 engines on pressure washers, tillers, etc. Once they get some hours on them and as things seat in-wear in, they get to a point you can not pull the start cord. If you remove the spark plug, the engine turns easily then the valves need adjusted. The valves are set .005" to .006" off the seat. This allows enough compression release but the engine runs. I find the valves need adjusted every 25 hours, not the 100 hours Honda states.

I bought a honda pressure washer power boss 3000. I load the gasoline, start the machine, but pressure water is not coming out from the trigger. i tried so many things , but can t get started.

If you are using a water tank for water supply, remove the water supply line from the pressure washer and connect a water hose from a faucet. Turn the water on, then crank the engine. Pull the trigger of the spray gun until water comes out. When then water starts to spray properly the release the trigger, shut engine down with pressure on the line then reconnect the water supply from the tank to the pressure washer. If this fixes the problem then the problem was "air-locked"! Happens alot with new pressure washers that have never been run. Starts but but shuts off after a few seconds

Try to start it with someone holding the trigger open on the spray wand. If it stays running then, but sounds like it's being overloaded and stalls when the trigger is released, it probably needs the unloader valve rebuilt or replaced. If it still does it, it's probably something in the carburetor of the engine.

Honda GC190 engine shuts down on my Karcher 3000 PSI PW

Well would you believe that I have the very same problem. I suspected that the pump was seizing up, so we tried the pump on another unit and it worked fine. On inspection of the motor we found the cam (which also operates the decompression mechanism) was worn out. It's made of hard plastic. It is only about 7 dollars too, so cheap enough to fix. I have mine ordered now and feel pretty confident that that should fix it.

Pressure Washer Engine will not stay running

My Kracher 2500 pressure washer has no pressure unless I remove the nozzle. If, I remove the nozzle and pump the trigger several times and quickly replace the nozzle it works fine until I release the trigger. Karcher (online) suggested I remove and clean the unloader which I did. It still doesn't work correctly. What another solution?

Pressure washer stalls out when wand nozzle is released

common for not starting unless trigger engaged as you are turning the pump as well as engine creating pressure,as for stalling pump has unloader valve which is probably in need of grease(use good silicone grease)this allows water to ciculate when trigger released.
