SOURCE: Jacuzzi undermount sink

Your sink is clearly made to be undermounted. No trim ring available. With all of the choices now available for sinks and faucets I would recommend that the jacuzzi sink be removed and that you select a new sink and faucet set to your liking. good luck.

SOURCE: Is an acrylic sink durable and stainproof?

Acrylic sinks can stain too. I would go with a cast iron sink if you don't want to worry about stains. Acrylic sinks tend to scratch if your not careful.

SOURCE: Can you install a garbage disposal in a corner undermount sink

Are we concerned about the distance between the bottom of the sink and the bottom of the cabinet?

I have installed a lot of disposals on under-mount sinks and I have found the the Badger company has a 1/3 hp unit that is quite short. It may seem a bit small but we need to remember that disposals are not made to chop wood.......1/3 is plenty strong for a person who uses their head when shoving food sown it. Their 1/2 hp unit might also work.

They are available at Lowes and Home Depot for around $60.

Hope this helps

SOURCE: installing an undermount sink in case it need to be removed

under mount sinks are 'glued' to the underside of the granite countertop using clear silicone caulking. Clean both surfaces really good with alcohol or acetone (or even disc brake cleaner, apply caulking to bowl flange and position bowl up to underside of counter. Temporarily block in place and let cure for 48 hours. To remove bowl later, use a thin cutting blade like a hacksaw blade to slice through the caulking line. It helps if you don't squish all the caulking from between the bowl and the counter so that you can just get the hackwas blade in there in the future.

Some padding under my undermounted sink has come off. What is it's purpose? and should it be replaced? Is it part of the undercoat?

The padding under the sink is just a sound buffer. If the sink became loud when the watter hits it just glue the pad back on and you will be go.

It is not part of the under coat.
