Question about Brother Sewing Machines
I purchased the machine second hand, it may be defective. But if there is a fix, I would love to try. When I try to embroider, the bobbin thread is making the design, the top thread is not being activated at all.
I don't have this particular machine, but have you made sure that you are threading correctly? I would completely remove your upper thread and put on a fresh needle. Also, whenever you do make a thread change, be sure and cut the thread at the spool on top and then pull the thread from the bottom (needle area) This will help prevent any fraying in the thread path that you can't get too easily. If this isn't an embroidery only one, try just sewing first so you will know if it feeds. It it does work in sewing mode, some machines are picky about thread.
