Make sure your phone has Auto Sync on, in the quick settings:
on newer phones, and similar for older Android phones
and make sure the sync icon is highlighted and on for the Gmail account registered to that device you want the contacts to be saved to. waiting a few minutes for the data to fully be saved.
Then, go to your new Android phone and insert the same Gmail account onto that device. Make sure that sync is activated. The new phone should then instantly transfer all your contact information from your Gmail account to your new Android Smart phone.
