SOURCE: easy off turned my gray

totally agree, ez off is a extremely strong lye. damage is done! however, you can remove it with some high quality air craft paint remover but look out for other parts. the next suggestion is if the powder is in tact but discolored, clean it very well and go but a can of krylon fusion paint made for plastic in a shade that suites you. tape off the bike and spray the powder. this paint will really stick and holds up well. i used some to make a colored wiring harness as i could not get colors i needed in the wire. if you remove the powder, you will have very ugly aluminum staring back at you. if you go that route, buy a dremel tool and polish the aluminum and coat it with some diamond clear from eastwoodco.

How to Stop the dishwasher from breaking my glasses

This shelving costs $16 plus $20 for powder coating.
Very easy to assemble taking about 2 hours.
It will stabilize your dishwasher trays so glasses wont fall over. Therefore wont break.
Buy 2 large Baking racks with 1 cm holes from Myers for $8 each.
Use your Angle Grinder to cut to size, making sure the cross wires running from left to right are on top of the long runs. This is because your glasses would slip all the way to the front, if you mounted the racks up the wrong way.
Basically I cut off only one side of the rack, using the cutoff piece for the middle hole.
Next flatten those legs that wont let the rack sit flat down, by using your vice and hammer.
See the diagram below how wide the framing supports wires are apart, that is why nothing stands up on them.
You may have to discard other supplied movable racking.
But the inserted racks, with a hole cut in the middle rack to allow a raised support wire some space, are very stable.

Now after cutting hammering and bending the racks loose some coating and will rust with little rust marks appearing on the edges of all your crockery and cups.
Therefore you will need to powder coat them any colour for years of protection.
Just find a powder coater in the yellow pages and give him the cutout racks.
To save money I told him to coat my Black racks to any colour in his machine, which turned out white.
Note the glass which now stands up stable and straight.

What are the different types of powder coating?

Thermoplastic and thermoset are the two types of powder coatings used by leading Powder coating services. Thermoplastic coating don't undergo any chemical change when heated. Therefore they can be softened and hardened by heating repeatedly. Unlike thermoplastic coatings thermoset coatings changes into infusible materials on heating. Nylons and vinyls are thermoplastic while acrylics and polyesters are thermoset.

You should never run the boat out of water! The shafts heat up in the shaft tube and freeze up. Then your done.
I own a company "H2O Hobbies"
We sell ready to run Riva boats such as yours. Many other people sell these same boats from the same manufacturer in vietnam. BUT - These are display all models.
My company works with the manufacturer to create each model with removable covers to access the motor etc... inside. The models are made waterproof by lining the inside of the hull with fiberglass. We use high quality brushless motors (1) with hardened steel u-joint coupling to the shaft which is 4mm stainless steel and attach a beril-copper balanced propeller. This setup is bulletproof. It took about a year of testing several different components to find the right set of matched components to get the best performance and reliability.
We use 2 7.2v battery packs in series = 14.4v.
See youtube videos - search scalemodelpowderful.
My suggestion is to put your boat on a shelf because that is what is was made for and buy one from us which is waterproof and accessable to work on if necessary. Go to or call me 612-325-2345 - Mark I am the Director of product development. I build the RC boats myself.

Replace Ice maker tubing LG Armoire refrig

Normally I would change the entire tube, but if you like you can take a sample of the tube to a full service hardware store (not a big box where they don't know anything) and get some tubing and / or some insta-push fittings. They are fast and work great.
