Your bp is absolutely great ..The fact that you are on BP med is fine, even days when it's normal and your taking BP meds it's fine ..But perhaps check in regular for a month on BP and take measurements and notes if it' still between 100/ 60 - 139/89 check in with the doctor he or she might be able to wean you off then wouldn't that be great:)

Scale of blood pressures at ages 70 to 80?

This can vary quite a bit as your plumbing is not what it used to be. It is now recognized that increasing BP in older people is in fact not normal or desirable, and should be treated. However authorities say that aggressive treatment and large decreases in BP may be just as risky. BP in older people is always worth checking.

Still, since we are talking about a range of persons, we have to look up averages. If the reading is about 140/90 or above you should ask the doctor about it, but the doc may consider this is OK,

If it is 130-140 over 80-90 you are doing very well. If much less, ask the doctor.

Now a longer record at different times will tell the doctor a great deal more, so you might want to get a home BP meter, have the doc check it, and keep a record of random readings. I have one, I'm an old f**t, I take 2 tablets, and the meter has been very informative.

What should my blood pressure be male 77, 185 lbs,

Seriously, what's it been most of your life? BP and heart rate are so variable and can change even by thinking bad thoughts. So, if you remember what it's been during your doctor visits and he was okay with it then those are the numbers you need to stay around. For general purposes, knowing every person is an individual, anything over 100/70 hr50 and under 140/110 hr90 could be considered good. Otherwise, ask your doctor; he'd know your medical history and have a good guess to where your BP should be.

Hi My 78 yr old mom, suffers from diabetes, high blood and cholesteral. She had a stroke 4 yrs ago. Now her left arm has pain, and the skin of the left arm is peeling, looks like sunburn.

Hello Denise Bennett,

Old age is bad enough... but tossing on
high BP, cholesterol issues and stroke issues... topped with diabetes's ... things become quite treacherous...

Even the most talented DOCTOR...
with psychic powers would be foolish to tell you
anything but to treat this as an URGENT MATTER...
and get down to ER ... (EMERGENCY ROOM)

NOW ... Don't freak out... Just do it NOW.

My blood pressure is 150/75 is that Ok I am 75yrs old

As you get older, it is not uncommon for the Systolic BP (top number) to get higher than the "optimal" 120, and for the Diastolic BP (bottom number) to get lower than to "optimal" 80. That being said, however, if the numbers start ranging too far apart, there is elevated concern for cardiovascular disease risk. You may not be having a problem, or you may be showing signs of impending issues. You should see your physician and get some follow-up to ensure that you are doing all you can to ensure your prolonged good health.

Rescued a BP-250 Blower from barn on family ranch. Noticed a gnawed spot on spark plug boot. Is there any fix or shud I order ignition wire & boot and maybe carb kit as it's 20? yrs old?

check around the junk yards for an old mower and rescue the HT lead from it
that will give you a good boot for the plug
you could always get a new HT lead from a mower shop or possibly a new boot from the mower shop
as for a carby kit , it probably just needs a good clean out

I am age 73 , female and my BP runs 132/67 is this normal?

120/80 is the so called average or normal. Yours looks reasonable for your age. Unless one of your readings surpasses 140/90 you should be fine.
