SOURCE: Power door locks not working

this is a comon problem with 05 and 06 dodge and chrysler vans. this will sound crazy but take both battery cables loose, then touch them together for about 30 seconds, this will drain all the reserve power out of the computer and reset the computer. reconnect them and viola your locks will work for a few days or weeks then you'll have to do it again. or go to the dealer and get your ICM computer "reflashed". they may charge up to 90 dollars to do this 20 minute proceedure.

If i purchase 2 locks with 2 remotes, will the remotes work interchangeablely with the locks? I don't want to have to carry two remotes one for the back door and one for the front door. Thanks.

Not sure which lock you have but most Radio Frequency (RF) locks are programmed to recognize the remote (some as many as 15). So you would program each lock to remember your remote and this will allow you to use the same remote for both locks. Be careful about range though.. if you are using one lock on the front door and the other on the back do you will controlling both locks when you press the button. But if you are planning on each lock being at a different house then you will be fine.

The driver door module (DDM) is connected on the standard corporate protocol (SCP) communication network. The DDM controls many functions including power windows, power door locks and remote keyless entry. The DDM also communicates with the driver seat module (DSM) to control the power mirror and seat memory functions.
Do you know anything about automotive electronic control modules ?
The driver door module (DDM) receives inputs from the digital transmission range (DTR) sensor, ignition switch, seat switch, window/door lock switches, lighting control module (LCM), keyless entry keypad switch and remote transmitter. The DDM outputs consists of keyless entry keypad switch illumination, power door lock actuators, luggage compartment release solenoid, horn relay, and lighting control module (LCM).
Best thing to do would be to have a factory scan tool hooked up to check for DTC'S diagnostic trouble codes . That should be the first step if it's not programming the code.

Keyless entry on honda civic 2006 not working

The keyless entry is designed to work with the doors closed (closed - not locked). If the door ajar sensor thinks the door is open the keyless entry is disabled. When you manually lock the door it might tighten the door just enough to activate the keyless entry. I would try slamming all the doors closed and then see if the keyless entry works. If it still wont work have the wiring checked on the front door lock.

Do you have the plastic card with the permanent code in your owner manual packet? If yes, tryit.

Keyless Entry The keyless entry keypad is hardwired to the GEM. The GEM interprets the inputs from the keyless entry keypad and then controls the associated operation. The keyless entry keypad will be illuminated for five seconds when any button is pressed. Additionally, it will request the illuminated entry feature to turn the courtesy lamps on. If a lock all doors code is entered, the illumination will turn off, as well as request the illuminated entry feature to turn off the courtesy lamps. When pressed, the keyless entry keypad supplies the ground signal to the GEM or the GEM receives a signal from the keyless entry remote transmitter. Then the GEM outputs a ground signal to the appropriate lock or unlock relay which supplies the power to the actuator to lock or unlocks all doors, including the luggage compartment. The keyless entry remote transmitter also unlocks the liftgate or activates the panic alarm by sending a signal to the GEM.
