If it is a brand new dishwasher you should not be making any alterations to it otherwise it can affect the warranty.

Best to call the company representative and ask.

How difficult is it to replace a GE Glass Cooktop with a complete new one. Does it just drop in

The cooktop will likely be "hard wired" in place. If its an old cooktop, the replacement model may be a different size. I would suggest you measure what the opening or cutout size is of the benchtop and check with a retailer to see if the new unit will fit or if the benchtop has to be modified to accept the size of the new unit.
Some cooktops also have small clips to hold it down which can be unscrewed from underneath the benchtop.

How do I replace heater hose fitting elbow

Tools: 10 mm 13,mm,15,mm sockets and a straight screwdriver if you need to pry, a shop light, you will need to get the air out running a while while you add coolant back to level. It's usually the top elbows that leak, if its the 3800 drain coolant into something, go to AutoZone tell them u need the elbows for the 3800, remove your coolant tank, and your alternator, pretty simple, loosen alternator, then slide belt off, then move alternator out of your way, remove the 3 bolts, pull loose, place in new parts, press back in place, then tighten everything back. Discard your bad elbows with bad seals. Check for leaks, if all good, your done.

I rough guess is that there is moisture build up in the air vent causing the controller to fail. This could be due to not enough gap between the dishwasher console and the kitchen benchtop.
Not sure how long you have had the dishwasher, but a check might be handy.

Refer installation inststructions in particular about the use of the cabinet seal kit.

Want to remove present dishwasher for replacement with a new one. How do you do it.

Most dishwashers are housed in a cabinet next to your kitchen sink.
Not knowing how exactly your machine is set up I will just advise you on common setup features and removal.
First open the doors to kitchen cabinet under the sink. If you see two hoses connected under the sink, they most likely are from your dishwasher. One is an inlet hose which would be connected to a water tap. The other would be a drain hose which would be connected via a clamp to the drain under your sink.
Turn off water tap to remove inlet hose. Unscrew or undo the clamp fixing your drain hose to drain pipe. Note when you remove the drain hose the hole to the drain pipe is exposed. You need to block this off as it will leak water when ever the sink is running. I normally get a plastic bag and twist it inside the hole and tape it off.
Next you need to locate the power cord and plug for the dishwasher. This is normally under the sink cabinet as well. However, check either side of the dishwasher. Sometimes they are behind the dishwasher.
Once you have disconnected the hoses, open dishwasher door. Look on the inside walls of the dishwasher. Some models are screwed into the wall of the cabinet so you need to unscrew machine. The screws go in either from the side walls or from the inside roof of dishwaser to your benchtop.
You need to also remove the kitchen kickboard if one has been installed infront of the dishwasher.
When machine is free open the diswasher door and grab either side of door and gently pull machine out. Have someone help you feed the hoses through as you pull out.
If the machine does not easily pull out check again for hidden anchor screws around the edges of the machine or even clamps which fix the hoses to the cabinet.
If you have issues pulling it out see if you can take some pictures and I will help you.
