SOURCE: My cat chew up my power cord for JVC xv841us mini

A power lead for that should be available from most electrical/electronic stores. Take the old chewed up one with you as a samle of the plug type. If you don't have any luck, go to HVC's web site and download a list of dealers in your area.
Hope this helps.

My cat chewed thru the cord but I'm not sure if it can be replaced. Does the cord come out of the machine somehow?

Generally, cords are a common replacement item. A vacuum cleaner repair shop could make short work of the task.

Do I need to buy a chew toy for my new cat?

That's agood question. I have seen chewing toys available at cat shops but in generalcats are more into scratching than chewing. Kittens might enjoy a chew toy butit really depends on the cat. Don't spend a lot on those kind of toys unlessyou see that your cat is really into chewing.

I need to replace the plug in cord on my rowenta iron. I would replace but I paid $130 for iron and my cats have chewed on the cord so I thought it "might" be a simple replacement.

This is the second cat-chewed-a-wire question tonight.

The only thing to do is to replace the entire cord. You could cut out the chewed section and splice it with **** connectors and electrical tape, but you have a nice iron with a 12' cord. I believe Rowenta uses Torx screws on their irons.

Rowenta has customer support and a list of service centers online:

If you are in the U.S., go to:

http://www.rowentausa.com

and then click on the 'CUSTOMER SERVICE' link on the gray bar below center of the page.

In the 'After Sales Services' column, click on 'Service Centres' and look for one close to you. Perhaps you can order a new cord and use the old cord as a chew-toy decoy.

Good luck from Detroit, MI.

My cat chewed the wiring on my Bose in-ear headphones

Of course. Just peal off the main isolation and connect wires according to color of their individual isolation. You can just twist them and wrap them with duct tape or solder them and wrap with duct tape.

My cat recently chewed trough 220 Volts stereo power cord (fortunately unplugged) and trough speakers cable too. They work perfectly again after quick fix while my room has become off-limit zone to my cat. ;-)

Better get your tomcat fixed or find him a girlfriend unless you'd like to risk him getting killed when he starts chewing some power cord.
