Question about HP Office Equipment & Supplies
I have a HP M4345 MFP Multifunction Printer from the moment the unit is turned on it gives a message that has a paper jam in tray 2. I verified every possible area that might have a piece of paper and nothing. Used compressed air to see if it came out anything and nothing. It continues to give the message of a paper jam in tray 2.
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Thhis error is usually due to a dirty photcell (sensor) in the tray 2 paper feed assembly or a broken sensor flag in the same assembly. Start be removing all cartridges and the transfer belt. Look in the bottom of the printer below the lowest cartridge slot for a removeable cover. That's the area your problem is probably in. I have incuded a link to a free PDF of complete service manual below. Good luck.

On the Manual paper feed you should see a piece of plastic that sticks down where you put the paper, it's called a Flag, make sure that this moves freely back and forth (or up and down)
If the flag is broken or does not move freely the printer will not know that there is paper in the MPF

Clean the rubber intake rollers with alcohol and allow to dry for 10 minutes. Take the tray out and you should be able to see the roller inside. Also check to make sure that the printer is default to tray 2. Use the Menu option on the LCD screen of the printer. Set the default tray to tray 2 in the windows driver as well. You should be able to easily get to this by hitting "ctrl+p" when you are ready to print a document.

To perform a cold reset
1 Turn the MFP off and then on.
2 When the memory count appears on the control-panel display, press and hold 6 until all three
LEDs flash once and then stay on. This might take up to 20 seconds.
3 Press 3 four times until COLD RESET appears on the control-panel display.
4 Press 6 one time. The MFP continues its initialization sequence.
