First off, I don't know how FixYa got Web Cam as my problem. My problem is with an

HP PSC 2175. I've tried your suggestion and several other resetting suggestions. They don't work. I've uninstalled HP software and reinstalled. No good either. I've cheched the various "solutions"

send into FixYa too. It started with the replacement of a cartridge and that would not align; tried another one , same thing. I was able to bypass alignment, but then got "paper jam". Then even that stopped and I got the "remove cartridge and check." Any other suggestion?

I have replied and tried all posted suggestions as of Aug 4th. This posting did not have any new "solutions although the Email said there would be one. You have already charged my the 12.99 onto my credit card although I have not accepted any "solution. Where do I go from here?

I don't think it pays for me to go with expensive repairs as new printers are probably cheaper. You have my 12.99 for your time. I will not proceed with FixYa.

    Thanks.

Your printer needs to be restarted. From the HP Website:

  1. Turn the printer off and then turn it on again.
  2. If the problem persists, turn off the printer.
  3. Disconnect the power cable from the power source.
  4. Reconnect the power cable and turn the printer on.
If not resolved, check for a paper jam.

Hope this helps.

OK. In relation to what Ted was saying regarding the carriage, clean the contacts in the carriage with water, a damp paper towel or coffee
filter. Test the printer before trying the next step.

Try cleaning the contacts on the
cartridge again, with water. Use the scrubby side of a kitchen sponge, wipe with
an up/down motion twice. Just be careful. More scrubbing may remove the plating from
the contacts. (up/down is with reference to the top of the cartridge when it's
    installed).

If still a problem, the carriage board
and/or cables may need to be replaced.

So, you replaced the cables and carriage board with the same results ???

Here are a couple of things that may help solve your problem.

1. Turn off the printer and move the cartridge carrier to the side so you can see the encoder strip. It's clear plastic with black markings on it. Clean this with alcohol and a cue-tip or whatever you have available. Be gentle.

2. Remove the cartridges and clean the contacts.

After doing the above, try printing again. If this doesn't work, try to update the firmware, this can cause problems at times as well if HP has recently changed anything in the logic chip on the cartridges.

n install only black cartridge n check d blinking of lights on ur printer if it doesn't blinks it's mean ur black cartridge is OK but ur blinking of light on ur printer is same it's mean ur head of black cartridge is damaged
after this process remove the black one cartridge and install the color one cartridge n check d blinking of lights on ur printer if it doesn't blinks it's mean ur color cartridge is OK but ur blinking of light on ur printer is same it's mean ur head of color cartridge is damaged

Unplug the printer for 15 minutes and plug it back in. You need to clear the memory out of the printer, and by unpluging it for that long usually does the trick.

Once you replace a cartridge on a 2210 ya page prints and you must put that page on the scanner window and then press enter. Your computer will go through a calibration to align the print head. once this is done you can throw away the paper and printing will be normal

It keeps telling me to remove and check cartridge

I also have this same problem. I currently have refilled cartridges in there purchased from cartridge world. I never had any problems with my HP until i tried refilled cartridges for the first time about 6 months ago. When i first purchased a refilled cart. it took 3 trips back to the store until i got one that would work in my HP. so im wondering if this is why i am now getting this "remove and check cartridge" error message.? I am reluctant to go out and buy a new HP ink cartridge just to find out ill have the same problem....
