best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

A software update will take care of this for you. You should be able to download the software for free from the manufacture's website under the download or support tab.

I hope this helps I got it directly from Amazon, since I am horrible at directions sometimes I hope this helps.

Loan a Kindle Book from the Product Detail Page You can loan eligible Kindle books from the product detail page of a book you purchased on Amazon.

During the loan period, you will not be able to read the book that you loaned.
To loan a Kindle book:
  1. Kindle Store from your computer, and then locate the title you'd like to loan.
  2. On the product detail page, click Loan this book. You will be sent to the Loan this book page.
  3. Enter the recipient's email address and an optional message. Note: Be sure to send the Kindle book loan notification to the recipient's personal email address and not their Send to Kindle email address.
  4. Click Send now.

Note: If the loan is not accepted after seven days, the book will then become available in your content library and you will be able to loan the book again.
Loan a Kindle Book from Manage Your Content and Devices You can loan eligible Kindle books from the page. During the loan period, you will not be able to read the book that you loaned.
To loan a book:

  1. Manage Your Content and Devices.
  2. Select the Actions button for the title that you want to loan, and then select Loan this title. If Loan this title is not an option, lending is not available for that title.
  3. Enter the recipient's email address and an optional message. Note: Be sure to send the Kindle book loan notification to the recipient's personal email address and not their Send to Kindle email address.
  4. Click Send now.
Borrow from a Friend You can borrow a Kindle book from a friend. When the book is available, you will receive an email notification that will allow you to download the book to your Fire tablet, Kindle e-reader, or supported Kindle reading app.
To download a borrowed book:

  1. Open the email message "A Loaned Book for You."
  2. Click the Get your loaned book now button. Your web browser will automatically launch to Amazon so you can accept the loan.
  3. Sign in to your Amazon account.
    • If you have a Fire tablet, Kindle e-reader, or Kindle reading app, select which device you would like the book to be delivered to, and then click Accept loaned book.
    • If you do not have a Fire tablet, Kindle e-reader, or Kindle reading app, click Accept loaned book and follow the on-screen instructions to download a free Kindle reading app.
Return a Loaned Book To return a loaned Kindle book:

  1. Manage Your Content and Devices.
  2. Select the Actions button next to the borrowed book, and then select Delete from library.
  3. Click Yes to confirm the return.

How do I get back to the last page read?

Swipe right with your finger

Kindle paper white won't move from the first page that shows up.

Try swiping your finger across the middle of the screen from right to left. This action turns the page forward. Swiping your finger across the middle of the page from left to right turns the pages backwards. I don't think the icon on the bottom is for page turning.

My Kindle Fire is losing 97% of charge after 1.5 hours reading. Help?

If it is a FIRE then it may have an app like MAIL running in the back ground. Turn off all apps. It's a tablet, it will only last a few hours.
The eReaders last for weeks, the Tablets last for hours.

If it's an eReader then on the home page search for jfhjfhj - if it says 4 books not indexed then you have 4 books corrupted, go DOWN and delete those 4 books from the kindle and redownload them.
