Depending on your email provider/client...

You can create a spam folder and set up rules to send anything from that sender to the spam folder and just delete everything that goes to that folder. Some providers like Yahoo and Google allow you to "mark as spam" and you'll never get anything from that email address again.

The other thing you can do (Which I tell most of my clients) is to create another email address and don't give that to anyone that plans on sharing it. (Like companies)

Most Spam email comes from lists that have been compiled by companies that sell your information. So that online form you filled out for that magazine subscription or credit card extension could very well he the culprit.

I have 3 email addresses. 1 for close family and friends. A second for paying bills, and a third for everything else. 99% of that third email is spam so I only check that one every now and then.

Email is today's phone number. It's only as private as you want it to be and be careful who you give it to.

If you don't want multiple email addresses then just create a new one, give it to only the people that should have it, and delete the old email account. Just like you would when getting a new phone number.

Hope this helps! :-)

Don't open just delete immediately
to open it lets the sender know that yours is a valid address so you will get more rubbish

I ordered a product on April 13 and never received the product. I didn't realise it until today but I was double charged and hope I'm still within the 189 day time periord to dispute the charges.

I haven't worked it out but you are close to the time limit - or just passed it.

The big question is, when does a simple overcharge that must be disputed within 189 days within the meaning of their terms and conditions become theft, a criminal act that renders their terms and conditions meaningless. The fact no goods arrived could mean there was criminal intent in the overcharge, the suggestion of which could be in your favour.

Whatever the outcome you have to accept by "not realising" for six months you are guilty of a certain amount of contributory negligence so you need to get your reasons straight and in order quickly...

How can these so-called simple surveys always offer a prize which on face value is a con?

Company names can be spoofed. You were obviously conned by someone pretending to be a well-known company. Stay away and NEVER give your account information to strangers over the Internet.

. A sum of Rs.1400 is to be used to give seven

  • Let, the maximum amount that is to be given is "x". Then, next student will receive an amount of "x-40", the next one "x-80", the next one "x-120", the next one "x-160", the next one "x-200" and the least amount will be "x-240"...... as this amount was to be distributed among 7 students.
  • So according to the given condition, the money balance gives........ x+(x-40)+(x-80)+(x-120)+(x-160)+(x-200)+(x-240) = 1400
=> 7x - 840 = 1400
=> 7x = 2240
=> x = 320

Therefore, the distribution of the money will be 320, 280, 240, 200, 160, 120 and 80.

If it is too good to be true then it is bogus. I suggest you ignore this e-mail.
