smasung are usually good at putting the voltages out on the board so look there. they have different power board for the same model so you would need the board number to check the voltages but like i say they usually have it written on the board

Thanks for the info! After I found the voltage printed on the board and tested, the voltages were slightly off (20%) and I could hear a buzz from that board when I tried to power it on. Part ordered.

It could be a week power board, check the capacitors on the power board and that look like they have a rounded top will need replacing, this is a common fault, over time they just wear out for use, replace with same rating on the capacitors, make sure they are 105c type.

Testimonial: "Okay, I did look and there aren't any signs of a blown capacitor or burnt component on any board. I wasn't sure if the fact that the standby light was on pointed to the main board. Thanks"

You nailed it. Power board was producing 11v instead of 13v. Replaced the part and it's as good as new. Thanks again!

Samsungtv, when turn on red light blinks 6 times.no display, no sound. Replaced power, main and tcon boards, all seems to be ok.have also checked led lights all of them fine. what could be the problem?

Almost sounds like you received a defective replacement board, check the various voltages coming from the PS board and see if they are ok, if they are then the PS is working and you can eliminate that board

My samsung led tv, when i turn on red light blinks 6 times. no display, no sound. Tried replacing power board, main board and tcon board, all of them seems to be fine. What else could be the problem.

You have at least one bad LED in the panel and its shutting down the power supply...for future reference a bad Tcon will not cause loss of sound only affects picture

Hi Ben,
Back light failure is a common problem with these sets. If it is so, I am afraid you can not repair it by yourself. You will need a qualified and experienced technician to handle it.

I took my samsung 50" DLP TV model # HLR5067W to a repair shop and they said my digital board is bad. I also called Samsung and my warranty was up and they said I was basically SOL. Where can I get a...

First thing is look at the model number of the TV and make sure of the complete model number. For instance there are 2 versions of this model requiring 2 digital board numbers. If your model is just HLR5067W the part number is BP94-1858A if the model is HLR5067WAX the part number is BP94-02084A. I bet yours will be the later of the 2 since that is a high failure version. They are NOT cross compatible. The parts you can purchase from Samsung at http://www.samsungparts.com
Please take a moment to rate my answer...Thanks
