I have a 7 in rca voyager tablet and until today it is perfect. I have always had a 16g sd card in with no problem. It shows in appa and storage but won't let me use it. I don't understand? Hello me..

When you say "anything", do you mean photos, videos and such, or are you trying to move apps to the SD? Most smartphones and tablets use SD only for storage of video, music, and photo data. Apps can't be loaded there and a few will allow app data there, but only if the app writers allowed for it. Apps are getting larger, but tablet and phone internal memory storage has been slow to keep up. As a result, users are faced with the ever-increasing likelihood that they will run out of storage for their apps and then must either upgrade to a newer device with more memory, or sacrifice some older apps. Its too bad we can't delete the bloatware apps that the manufacturer installs that we never use.

How to down load films to a 32 GB card Hudle2.Thanks

OK, to accomplish this you need 2 hings:
1. A micro sd card. (Which I gather you already have one)
2. File manager installed in your tablet.

Now, if the tablet support micro sd card, you are all set. Download the file manager, it could be Astro, ES File Explorer, etc...
Once installed, open the file manager. The tablet storage, which is known as internal storage, it is display as sdcard/storage (or sometimes as internal storage). Once you tap the internal storage, everything that is installed in your tablet will be display; (Android, DCIM, etc...) Now you need to look where are the pictures or films saved at. It is usually DCIM/Camera. Once you have found the pictures that you want to move or copy, long tap the films, depending on the file manager app, you must tap copy or move (NOTE: Since every file manager is different, some takes a little bit of extra steps, others requires for you to open a menu). Once you had chose to copy or to move it, look for the external sd card location, which will also be located at sd card/storage/ (32gb external storage) and choose this location to paste your films or pictures.
Another way is by using a computer. Make sure that you have all the drivers needed for the computer to recognize your tablet, you also need the usb charge cable. Once the computer recognize it when the tablet is plug in to the computer, open it by double clicking, there should be 2 storage display under the tablet folder: Internal storage and 32gb. external storage. Open the internal storage, look for where the films are saved (just like I explained with the file manager), choose the films that are to be move or copy, and jus drag and drop or press ctrl and C to copy, go to the external storage, open it and press ctrl and V to paste.

How do you move internal storage to the sd card to free up internal space

touch the "Settings" icon, go down to the "Device" area, touch the "Storage" icon : go to the bottom of the screen, and select "Transfer data to SD card", then select the items you want to move.

You should also move some apps from internal storage to the SD card : "Settings", "Device", and touch "Applications" : then touch each and every application : for most of them, the button "Move to SD card" will be active, just proceed.

Can we purchase additional memory for Fire HD 6 8gb

Hello there, are you referring to online storage or internal mmemory?

Online storage- yes this can be upgraded if you do not have any you can simply purchase some online storage space with that it is accessible from your device as long as you have an active Internet connection.

Internal memory- no your internal memory cannot be upgraded and you cannot purchase additional memory nor can you buy secure disk card to use with the unit unfortunately, however you do have options there are USB/micro USB memory drives that are very small, 1 end can plug into your tablet you just need to be careful not to hit it or damage the device or your tablet while using it but this can expand your memory up to the storage size of the memory device that you choose, alternatively you can also just purchase online storage space. if you want to find the memory device that I am speaking of you can go to Walmart Target or any other place that sells those little keychain flash drives it is basically a very small flash drive that fits on your keychain one and can plug into a phone or any other a/b type USB connection that is commonly used with devices other than Apple and the other end is a common USB that will plug into your computer. I included a photo of the memory device I am speaking of, the one that I am showing you images of has had the casing removed so it will not quite look exactly like this in store.

Good luck and thanks

My grandpa bought a RCA for me to put all his songs on it. And they are all on the computer and i dont know how to transfer them

There are two ways:
  • From computer. Use micro USB cable, connect it to tablet. Computer will detect the tablet as storage device. Open explorer. Copy your files from computer to tablet in the folder where you want to store/save.

  • Use micro SD card. Insert microSD card to computer/laptop. Copy your files to microSD card. Remove microSD card. Insert it on your tablet. Access the files. To access files on microSD card, you can see on this video :

Video is courtessy of Youtube - RCA.

You also can use flashdisk as a files transfer storage.
If using flashdisk, transfer procedur is same as for microSD.
If using flashdisk, you need miniUSB to USB adapter. See photo:25848604-tr0bbbe1g5ua2mps4ks3loyz-2-3.jpg
I hope this help.

How does ram vs internal storage work on tablet?

There are 2 storage in just about every smartphone or tablet. There is an internal storage, usually about 1gb. or 2gb. And there an internal SD storage, which is not same as the external micro sd card. RAM stands for Read Access Memory, it will not work as storage. Now, when you download an app it is usually save in the internal storage. If you move an app without an external micro sd card inserted, you are moving them to the internal SD storage. If possible got to setting>storage and check how is the storage divided, if you insert the external micro sd card it should display 3 separate bars. Also, another way to move apps and other things around is by using ES File Explorer. Check that out first and I hope you do resolve the problem, best of luck.

How to put photos on my sd card

This more than likely means your internal storage is low and not the SD card and may not have anything to do with your pictures but more so with your apps. Go into settings and see if your tablet has the feature to set where your downloads and other media is stored, by default that will be your internal memory. change it to SD card or USB storage. In Settings you can also click on your apps individually and transfer them manually one by one to the SD card or USB storage or download a file manager and do so all at once. Some apps and files may not have the feature to transfer these apps the tablet came with or apps you downloaded that uses the internal memory. By default if a memory card is in you tablet pictures are automatically store there, if this is not the case the easiest way to transfer is connecting the tablet to a computer/laptop and transfer to the card or again use a file manager.

How do i download music from my laptop to tablrt

I highly recommend installing DoubleTwist after you follow the instructions below. The DoubleTwist program lets you do media sync to any android device, it's slick and simple.
Connect your tablet to the computer using the included USB cable (small end to tablet, normal sized USB end to PC)
A USB icon will appear in your notifications bar at the top of your tablet's screen, drag the bar down to open the notification.
From here you'll choose to mount the storage drive (either internal or an external card if you have an SD card installed).
Once that's done your tablet should appear as a "Mass Storage Drive" or another hard drive on your PC. From here you can drag and drop files into it, or use DoubleTwist to do that automatically.
