The only way to upgrade XP to Windows 10 is to first purchase Windows 10. You can buy it directly from Microsoft. Buy Windows 10 Home Microsoft Store
I do not recommend that you do this because you are probably running some very old hardware. It could fail at any time. You can buy a refurbished computer with Windows 10 installed for less than you can but Windows 10 by itself. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/searchpage.jsp?cp=1&searchType=search&id=pcat17071&type=page&ks=960&st=categoryid%24pcmcat212600050008&sc=Global&sp=%2Bcurrentprice%20skuidsaas&qp=currentprice_facet%3DPrice~%24100%20-%20%24149.99%5Ecurrentprice_facet%3DPrice~%24150%20-%20%24199.99%5Ecurrentprice_facet%3DPrice~%24200%20-%20%24249.99%5Ecurrentprice_facet%3DPrice~%24250%20-%20%24499.99&list=y&usc=All%20Categories&nrp=15&iht=n&seeAll=&browsedCategory=pcmcat212600050008
You can get a new one that is much more powerful than what you have for $255.99

Update windows xp to Windows 10 explain steps.....XP TO WHERE TO END AT WINDOWS 10 INSTALLATION

You almost certainly can't. Windows XP is no longer supported and hasn't been for years. There is a compatibility checker on the Microsoft site that will see if your hardware and the software you have on the computer will run Windows 10. I had XP and had a high end PC built and purchased Windows 7 Pro. I then took the free upgrade to Windows 10.

Tip

Upgrading Windows XP

Most users of Windows XP are using Windows XP service pack 2.
You can upgrade Windows XP service pack 2 by installing plain service pack 3.
This will upgrade and improve functionality to your current installation to Windows XP.
There are alot of versions of Windows XP Service pack 3 but i recommend downloading an official version from Microsoft's downloads center through the link below.

To after download is complete, install the file. Installation takes about 10 to 30 minutes depending on your system specifications.
If your current installation of Windows XP has too many errors, installation of service pack 3 may not be successful.
The solution to this is to reinstall your Operating System (OS) using your OS installation CD, then install Service pack 3.
How ever, OS re installation will erase all your data in your system partition so back up all your data.

To download an official copy of Windows XP service pack 3, follow this link:

Can I use alohabob to go from Windowsxp to Windows 10

You might be able to move specific applications or software from a Windows XP computer to a Windows 10 computer, using that software. But you cannot go from Windows XP to 10 on the same computer. The hardware of the Windows XP machine, unless you downgraded the OS from Windows 7 or 8 to XP, was NOT designed to work with a operating system higher than XP. You can only upgraded a Windows 7 or 8 computer to Windows 10 (not that you would want to as the Windows 10 system is useless junk).

One of the reason that Microsoft offered the Windows 10 free was that people using 7 would not ditch their old computers to buy a new one fitted with windows 10. However to get around the problem of not having new hardware. They had to fudge and bodge the Windows 10 software to make it work on hardware designed for Windows 7.
So basically it's rubbish because corners were cut.

How do i download the next upgrade after windows XP professional for free?

Why up grade if XP Pro is working fine???????? The only time to up grade is when your existing OS is not compatible with some program you wish to run. Other than that you should stay with XP.

If you have to "upgrade" your best bet is Win 7 but that is a clean install, not an upgrade. Stay away from Vista, Win 8.1, 10 lest you have horrific issues with convenience, compatibility and/or drivers.

Need password for Microsoft 10

You shouldn't need any password for Windows 10. If you are getting that you have downloaded the wrong version. If you are a Windows 7 user make certain you are only downloading the version of 10 that matches the Windows 7 you currently have. So if you have Windows 7 Home download Windows 10 Home. If you try and download any other type IE Professional - then you will get asked for a password. Which you will have to pay for from Microsoft.
Windows XP is not compatible with Windows 10. If you are using a computer that uses Windows XP and you can't upgrade your computer to Windows 7 or 8, then you will NOT be able to run Windows 10 on it.

Upgraded my ASUS laptop from Windows 7 to 10. Now can't get my Dell Photo AIO Printer 924 to work.

Dell does not support this printer with Windows 10 drivers. It only had drivers up to VISTA. Windows 7 worked with most VISTA drivers, so you probably had no issues there. Here is a page from Dell that may help you to get the VISTA drivers to work in Windows 10.

Converting from xp to windows 7

You can, but thorough backup of all your XP stuff is needed first, as you will lose much of it. Here is the detailed MS guide

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-AU/windows7/help/upgrading-from-windows-xp-to-windows-7#T1=tab01

Unless you have a genuine copy of W7 already, I'd recommend going to W8.1 , as it has now stabilised and will be supported for much longer than W7. However your hardware would need to be good enough. From XP there is no automated way to check this, instead

This behavior may occur if you install Windows XP Service Pack 1a (SP1a) on your computer, and do any of the following:
  • You upgrade your Windows XP Home-based computer to Windows XP Professional.
  • You reinstall Windows XP on your computer.
  • You perform a repair of Windows XP on your computer.
To resolve this behavior, after you upgrade your Windows XP Home-based computer to Windows XP Professional, or you perform a reinstall or repair of Windows XP, reinstall Windows XP SP1a on your computer.

After you reinstall the service pack, restart your computer.

try this and tell me incase if any issues

Can't use VPC-CG9 as PC camera.

I don't know why this wouldn't work on Vista HP, but this excerpt from the manual suggests that your XP SP1 Pro would not work without the SP2 rollup:

"Please perform the following upgrades before connecting the camera to a computer.
-Upgrade Windows XP to SP2.
Install Windows XP SP2.
-Install Windows Messenger 5.0 or later version.
Download Windows Messenger 5.0 or later version, and install it.
-If using MSN Messenger, please install MSN Messenger 7.0 or later
version."

Perhaps if you are following the steps exactly in the manual and it still does not work, upgrading Messenger will magically help.
