If it is only 2 months old, then it is under warranty, take it in for warranty repair. There may be a circuit breaker on it, usually on the back at the bottom, it there is, push it to see if it has tripped.

SOURCE: Roomba works but the dirt stops at the filter. New filter did not help.

The robot dirt tray has a vacuum motor to assist the dirt flow from the floor brushes. Yours is not working. recheck the connections on the dirt tray.

Brush bar does not spin and vacuum on capets. slight burn spell.

Burning smell is from the belt that turns the brush. Most the time hair or carpet fibers has it jammed up. Unplug vaccum. Turn it upside down and cut the tangled mess and remove it. Alot of the time the vaccine will be plugged up behind the brush and before the fill basin. Also remove the hose attachment and check from there to the are that makes contact with the floor behind the brush. Use a metal coat hanger to remove clogs. Dump basin and remove filters. Wash them or beat them against something outside to release the dirt. Put it all back together and do some house keeping.

How do you empty the turbo accu vac? I can take the filter out and clean it but can't open the chamber where the bits are collected

  1. Make sure to turn off your machine.
  2. Press the empty button. Then pull the handle to lift the dirt container away from the vacuum.
  3. Hold the dirt container over a trash bin and press the release button to dump the debris.
  4. Then snap the bottom back on.
  5. Place the dirt tank back onto the machine.

Do my Dirt Devil have a restart button it just stop running

Hi! No the vacuum doesn't have a restart button, but it does have a thermal protector that will shut the vacuum down when it is overheated. If your dirt cup was too full this will activate the thermal protector sensor. Clogs and dirty filters can cause this as well. We recommend emptying the dirt cup, tapping out the filter and checking the hose for clogs. The vacuum will come back on usually within 45 minutes to an hour. Hope this helps. Vacuum spits dirt out of the back end as I'm vacuuming.

Heather,Does the vacuum have a switch or a lever somewhere that makes it change from floor to hose? If so, it sounds like you've been using it on the hose selection but not actually sweeping using the hose. In other words, on an upright vacuum when sweeping just with the vacuum normally have the lever on floor setting and if you use the hose/attachments you have to have the lever on hose setting for things to work correctly. Hope this helps!

Bottom of dirt container doesn't stay closed

The catch/latch that is on the bottom of the bin button release has likely broken.
If you take out the canister (as when you are dumping the bin), and flip it upside down and then squeeze the bin release button, you will see that it moves a rod inside the cyclone assembly.  At the end of this rod is a plastic (plastic.. redundant, as the entire Dyson is practically plastic) latch that catches onto the bin's lid and locks it in place.  A broken latch means it doesn't lock the lid in.
What you need is a replacement latch.  Note that the "Bin Release Button + Rod assembly" that are sometimes sold on ebay do *not* contain the latch at the end of the rod.  Also the bottom bin assembly does not contain the required parts.
The cyclone assembly should have the full bin release rod + latch, so if you can't find the latch, then a new cyclone assembly would work also (but will cost more, obviously).

Roomba stops and beeps three times and the max light keeps flashing....

Just fixed my roomba that was doing the stop after 2-5 minutes of running, beep 3 times ect... What I did was took off the back part (the trash bin) removed the 5 screws on the bottom, this removes the top and bottom shell, then I removed the 2 screws that are at the bottom of the vacuum's motor. And I cleaned it with a damp cloth. Once clean I let it air dry. She is running like she is new :-)

How do I change my kirby g4 to sweep/mop mode?

Turn the belt lifter to red arrows matching to sweep the kitchen floor. This stops the brushroll from turning and allows you to use straight suction. There is a hard floor pad available...see the link to my guide and you may find one for sale...
As for mopping...I just dump a small bit of soapy water on the floor and run my Kirby shampooer (with no solution in the tank) on the lowest setting to scrub, then I dry mop behind it to pick up the excess water. There really are no instructions in the manual for scrubbing linoleum, but I just improvised. It splashes a bit, but better than getting down on hands and knees. Here is a guide to hook up the shampooer...
