Hi Greg,

It sounds like a wiring problem but ....... that is yet to be determined. I would check the output of the controller panel to the valve at the panel and then confirm that you also have voltage at the valve itself.

Good luck, Jim

Hello. I am sorry you are having this problem. This is an article that i have about rain sensors it is pretty neat.
http://static.howstuffworks.com/pdf/rain-sensor.pdf

Basically. The sensor sends out an infrared light that then detects YES how hard the rain is falling, and YES how much "condensation" , (rain) is on the windshield.. By its thickness the sensor can read... so if you have a tinted windshield, i do believe the sensor could have issues pushing the infrared light throught it and getting an accurate reading. I would say the factory is right in the case.. and that If the new winshield you have is not EXACTLY like the one you had before... It is the windshield repair guys that are responsible.
Note: even though they have tried to acquiese to your need by replacing sensors.. it has obviously not worked. and i would tell them they need to replace your windshield with the same kiind they took off. or give you your money back.

GOOD LUCK!

SOURCE: remote sensor on tv not responding

Have you checked your remote to see if its working? If you have a digital camera or camera phone, point the remote at the lense and see if it shows up on camera screen. If it is working then the IR sensor on the tv could be bad.

I need to disconnect the rain sensor from my sprinkler system. Can someone tell me how?

Without the make/model of your timer, it's hard to be specific. On my two systems, there are two screws clearly labeled for the rain sensor. Loosen those, pull the wires out. Done.

Wiring new sprinkler timer one wire on my old

Just cut the common wire and put one end in each of the 2 pins. The rain sensor just interrupts the signal to the valves when wet.

Copy following links to identify timer manual and general wiring illustration:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html#sprinkler
http://waterheatertimer.org/images/orbit-connections.jpg
Do not connect voltage directly to COM and Pump terminals... these terminals have their own 24Volt AC output when timer turns ON. When timer turns on, the 24V flows to Relay. This action will cause electro-magnet to pull two points together, and that will turn on the pump.
Same with the sensor terminals. Do not connect power to rain sensor terminals. The rain sensor plugs into outlet, and produces it's own 24V ac output. So when rain sensor activates, this cuts power to timer, and then timer will automatically bypass the watering schedule until rain sensor again resumes power output to timer.

Circuitry from fuse box (220v) to timer and to sprinkler pump 220v

Copy following link:
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-Intermatic-sprinkler-timers.html
240Volt requires 2 hot wires, but not additional neutral wire. Just cap the neutral.
http://waterheatertimer.org/images/Inside-Main-Breaker-Box-12.jpg
http://waterheatertimer.org/See-inside-main-breaker-box.html
The rain sensor should have it's own power source (for example plug into outlet, or use 1 Hot and 1 Neutral to supply power to rain sensor), and then wires from rain sensor connect to two rain-sensor terminals located on timer.
Do not connect power directly the the rain sensor terminals.

Can I connect a rain guage to a intermatic T8805P101C sprinkler clock?

1) Not directly to timer, because the T8805P101C 125Volt sprinkler/irrigation timer does not have additional wiring terminals for rain sensor.

2) Buy R8815P101 125Volt timer has additional terminals for sensor.

3) If you are good at wiring projects: Then you can wire rain sensor to 24Volt 8-pin relay, and have relay open and close power to pump or sprinkler head.

How to wire hunter rain clik rain sensor to r8816p101c

1) There are different rain clik model numbers shown in manual
Open 24 volt Rain clik manual:
http://www.hunterindustries.com/resources/pdfs/instructions/domestic/lit358w.pdf
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Hunter-rain-clik-instruction-manual.pdf

2) The rain sensor has two wires.
And two additional wires are needed to run from rain sensor to sprinkler timer. For example, buy thermostat wire from local hardware store if wire is not supplied.

3) The rain sensor has a terminal block where wires are connected. .
Open manual above to identify markings on your terminal block.
For example Figure 1 shows SRC model, and with this model number, the rain sensor wires connect to terminals RS and C, and then two wires going to timer connect to terminals RS and and 1.

4) R8816P101C is 208-240Volt 24-hour irrigation timer.
Timer has two separate terminals for attaching rain sensor.

5) Timer power connections have 4 terminals. Do not connect rain sensor to power terminals.
Connect wires from sensor to the two sensor terminals.

6) Timer slide-switch must be set to ON position for rain sensor operation.
Sensor sends continuous 24Volts to irrigation timer.
When it rains, the rain sensor stops sending 24Volts to timer. Timer responds by not turning on power to irrigation pump.
To by-pass rain sensor, move timer slide-switch to off position.

You have Intermatic 240Volt sprinkler timer.
http://www.intermatic.com/~/media/files/intermatic/products/instructions/timers/r8816p101c%20-%20english.ashx

Timer relay has 4 wiring terminals: from left to right 1 2 3 4
Red wires from switch connect to terminals 1 and 3
Red wires to pump connect to terminals 2 and 4
Since circuit is 240Volt, red wires from switch can be connected in either order. Same with pump.

Rain sensor terminals don't have any wires, unless you but separate rain sensor.

How do you wire a Toro Rain Sensor 53769 to Intermatic Timer T8845PV

The rain sensor only connects to Intermatic sprinkler timer IF the timer has the rain sensor terminals.
Not all Intermatic sprinkler timers have that connection.
For example R8815P101C and R8816P101C have rain sensor terminals

I think the rain sensor terminals are located to the right of main wiring terminal block.
There are two screw terminals.

The rain sensor plugs into a power source, and then sensor wires connect to the timer.
Apply no voltage to the sprinkler timer terminals.

All you have to do is set the program 'A B' switch to the 'A' position. The program that you have set for A will run only. B is not active.
