I suggest taking it out as it will at some time get into either the wash motor or the drain pump and cause substantial damage, Try a small strong magnet on a string, hopefully the screw is magnetic, if this doesn't work you may have to resort to tilting the machine to try to move the screw to a point you can see it or possibly dismantle part of the machine to locate it.

Why do dishes on the top rack feel dirty after washing?

probably not getting enough water pressure in the top section of the machine to was properly ( dirty spray bar jets /nozzles)
do a machine clean using good quality recommended agents
A major problem that occurs with dish washers is the failure to rinse off the items to be washed before installing in the machine
this refuse then blocks up the jets and nozzles in the spray bars and stops the pump from reaching full pressure.

Where is the fuse for the samsung dmr77 dishwasher

Hello Margaret;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

Unfortunately, Samsung does not design their appliances to be maintenance friendly. You have a inline fuse that is in the wiring harness, inside on the on the bottom right hand side.

Substitution: Part Number 3601-001197 Cost: $4.00
You have to remove the right lower side panel to access the harness. The side panel is held on with one screw. Then pull toward you to remove.
There are several reasons your dish washer will not run.
You could have a bad door contact switch:

Remember to turn the power off first.

You could have a bad door contact switch, or one of many other sensor.

Tell me what the problem is. Is your control panel lit up?

Maytag dishwasher Model # DWC4910AAW SN A9830611KY Doesn't clean dishes anymore...leaves white soap (Cascade) residue on all; doesn't clean dishes anymore.

msbcox -- Check for residue in the strainer under the lower washbar. Remove the lower dish rack. Strainer is under washbar. Sounds like it is not draining properly. Write back if you need more help. -- SWT

How much psi does a 3000psi power wash have when in use

James, That depends on where you measure it. Internally, on the outflow side of the pump it's pretty close to 3000 psi. It's probably just a few psi lower just before the spray nozzle. After it leaves the nozzle it has zero psi, but it has a LOT of velocity. The actual velocity depends mostly on the nozzle, but that too drops to zero if you measure it far enough away from the nozzle.

Whirlpool Built-in dishwasher Model DU8700XB -O

Most dishwashers have a soil separator which separates the soil from the water while it's washing. When a wash cycle is over a valve opens in the separator to allow the soil to go down the drain. If it's not working properly the washer will leave a film or food particles on the dishes.
It's under the lower spray arm. Post your model number and I may can find a diagram for you. Dishwasher- Inside the doorjamb on the top, left or right. On the door edge top left or right. Portable models on the back.

Door on fridge side has droped 10mm the plastic washer has worn away i think .Can i get a spare please its situated at the bottom of door

Take the model number ( you didn't list it here ) to a parts house and tell them you need the door closer for the frig door . To install , remove the 3 screws holding the top door hinge located under tho top hinge cover , and lift door off bottom hinge . Remove all food items from door first . The closer should come with a lower hinge and the piece which attaches to the door . If not , tell them you need the door piece also. Or the kit may come without the hinge , but , with both the hinge piece and the door piece in the package .

Breather for the dish washer

Yes the breather can be placed under the sink. Just be sure to mount it above the level of the dishwasher. You can either screw it to something wood or use tie straps to tie it up to a screw.

Heats up and produces steam but the release button does not open the flow of steam.

To remedy this, I did the following:
1) Removed screws from: a) Lower area of handle (1 screw), b) Top of steamer, under round rubber flap around fill hole (2 screws), c) Front of steamer where nozzles attach (2 screws)
2) Removed back of handle, top of steamer, front of steamer where nozzles attach
3) Once all parts are removed, you can see a brass button that is pushed by the trigger
4) Using a needle-nose pliers, grasp and rotate the button several times in both directions (you may hear it cranking against the interior spring). Do this until it turns fairly easily with the pliers.
5) Once this is done, you fill find that the brass button can be very slightly depressed with a bit of force. You may also need/want to unfold a large paper clip to push into the nozzle hole to help unsticking the brass button (not sure if that helped in my case, but it was something I tried along the way). When the brass button moves in and out (again, it won't move much), the steam release mechanism is unstuck!
6) Reassemble all parts (everything snaps back neatly into place).
This worked for my unit!
