All available brands have their good and bad points. I've had HPs, Dells and a Lenovo. It really comes down to getting the specs you need/want for the best price. Both of my last 2 laptops failed during warrantees and were rebuilt. If you rely on your computer for work (like I do) and you can't afford to replace it every year, I highly recommend getting an extended warranty. these things are so mass-produced, you never know which ones will fail when.
