Drum not spinning properly

Good day I have an OKI C6100n printer and find it prints Very good, but my problem for the third time in a year the yellow and magenta drums is not allowing me to finish the toner after the use of about 60%
I am having some big streaks, upon viewing the drums the ink is not spreading smoothly over the roller of the drum.

NB there are no streaks in the drum. My name is Doreen and some one in new york does my ordering for me. Thanks as I await your replycribe your c6100 okidata drum problem Proble

Open the top cover, there are 4 black leds above the drums attached to the upper cover, these can get toner on them and cause streaks as they are what write to the drum. wipe them with a dry cloth and see if that helps

When printing in color I am getting a half inchwhite space the lenght of the paper, in the same place each time. When i print in just magenta I get a oink line, when I print in just yellow I get a white...

You have done some good steps for troubleshooting this problem. The next step would be to see that there are no obstructions between the laser, or LED array and the drum. you may also have dirt or an obstruction in the drum charging units.

My new Oki C6100N won't print in color without some sort of code. Do have have the code know what it is? Thanks in advance and we will repay you.

My new Oki C6100 bought from Radio Shack will not print color, Radioshack wrote firmware so only managers could print in color. Need firmware to write over RadioShack firmware.

Grinding noise on OKI C3300

I have had a similar problem. . Black drum needed changing. There was also a grinding noise developing. I have taken each drum and toner module out of the printer and booted it up with one of the 4 missing. It was the Cyan drum that was making the noise. . Question is what can I do? I am not a printer expert. .

I will contact the local printing shop that I use for more info and will come back to you. I suspect that I will need a new drum . . .

Yellow Lines on every print

If the optics are clean (use lint free cloth on 4 rows of black thingys underside of lid)

Then it sounds like the yellow drum needs to be replaced, when printing in word I'm guessing that you have it set to B/W prints hence no colour is engaged, no lines
