Stopped spinning after washing, water remains in the tub

usually what happens here is that the pump to expel the water is not functioning, the normal problem here is a coin or hair grip gets lodged in the pump and stops the impeller from turning, generally the pump can be removed and opened up to remove the offending article and allow the impeller to operate again, once cleared of obstruction reassemble the pump and refit it. ( be aware, as the machine is still full of water, when you remove the pump the water will flood out so you need plenty of towels so soak up the water that spills.

Machine will not empty water, new pump installed today still no joy any ideas

Whether a front loader or a top loader, you are probably missing a sock. My guess being a sock or similar sized article has escaped the tub and is obstructing the water discharge to the pump. How to get to it depends on the top loader/front loader/make/model thing.

Keep getting a LD sign and washer want run

ld means long drain. if this is a frt loader remove acess panel and their will be a white pump in the middle or the base, remove screw on cap i believe counterclockwise get a pan to catch the water we use the panel you will probably find alot ofthings in pump filter do this about every 8 months to ayear. if this is a top loader look for drain pump and inpect for a cloggage inside we find socks, coin, dollar bills clogging pumps all the time..

Zanussi front loader leaking

Most likely you have a pump shaft seal leaking you can buy a new pump at this site. You may remove the pump and clean with pool muratic acid, but it is very caustic you would have to put pump in the acid bath in a metal pan that you don't mind using it and it will eat all the organic buildup from the pump. However it may leak worse as the organic material may keep it from leaking too much. So I suggest you use the pump, if you use mueratic acid it is highly toxic so read directions on using it and were air mask and rubber gloves while using it then rinse off with clean water. You should put water hose in the drain pipe and tunrn on the water to test the drain pipe as well. this will make sure the drain pipe is fine. Look at the hoses near the clamps as this is where holes develop on the water pump hoses.

Water in the drum

The problem is probably the pump being clogged with an object. Typically it is a coin.
Remove the front bottom cover to access the pump. Remove the two hoses. Make sure you have a pan to catch the water from the hoses. You will be able to remove the objects after the hoses are removed.

Won't drain

Remove the lower kick panel under the door and you should see the drain pump located directly under the wash tub. There is a screw off cap that can be removed to access the clean out trap. It is strongly recommended that you drain all residual water from the wash tub BEFORE you remove the drain pump cap, or you will have about a gallon of water to clean up. The residual water can easily be removed with the use of a wet/dry shop vac. Just remove the drain hose from the standpipe and pull a vacuum through the line with the shop vac. This will save you time later in clean up. If you do not have a shop vac, grab some old towels and place them under and around the drain pump. This will help in controlling the amount of water spill.

PS This residual water is normal in washing machines and should not be considered a problem unless the water is visible in the tub. Residual water generally sits between the outer tub and wash basket in the drain lines. This is truw with top loaders as well. Most front loaders will start a brief drain cycle at the beginning of the wash cycle to get rid of this residual standing water to prevent stagnant water from getting on your clothes. Just thought you might like to know...

I hope this helps you.

Kenmore front loader

the drain pump on this unit has a clean out. There is probably debris in the pump. remove the lower front cabinets. There are three screws almost at floor level that hold it in place and open the drain pump it has a handle on the drain pump that you can twist to remove.
