Not one answer for this problem. It could be the tube going from toner cart to developer unit is clogged or kinked. It could be the dev unit. Get a toner vac and remove toner and black cap and spring and using the round hose end create seal and vac the tube. The part that goes into the toner cart has hole on the very end, it might have broke off (look at another color to verify). The worst case is the toner attraction pump has failed. One fix is shake the toner and reinstall.

51.22 is a Magenta laser scanner error.
Try removing the magenta restarting the printer and reinstalling.
If that does not work you likely need a laser assm.
You might want to call a tech. to replace.

try this link : I followed the directions and fixed the problem. the instructions that came with the new printhead weren't really complete.
Here's essentially all I did for my fix - Opened the printer top, turned the printer off. Removed the "bad" printhead, cleaned the metal contacts on the printhead and printer with windex. Closed the printer. Turned it on. waited for it to reset. Opened the printer. Turned the printer off again. Installed the printhead. Closed the lid. Plugged the printer in again. When it was ready I accessed the HP toolbox and alligned the printheads and cleaned the printheads. It worked. Here's a link with photos.

SOURCE: Error 10.90.02
I have had a similar problem with my printer, It turns out that the aftermarket toners that I was using were using a sort of re-certified circuit board. When the chip embedded to the toner is not new some times it can not be read by the machine correctly.
Also have your pulled the cartridge and put it back in again? It is possible that the chip on the toner is not making proper contact with the printer.
