HI:
This is a plasma unit and philips plasma's are nortorious for bad power supplys, your problem may very well be the power suppy in the television, it is possible you blew a low B+ fuse on the power supply. There is also a issue with the Y-sustain board failing in this model, If you open the back and looking at the unit from the rear the y board is on the left side of the unit and the PS is in the center. disconnect the Y-sustain power plug from the power supply and turn on the unit if the unit stays on with no red light then the y board is bad. it does the same then replace the Power Supply.

Phillips plasma tv blinks a red light

Hi kellar6263,

Try unplugging the TV from the wall for about 15 seconds. Then plug it and see if it works. There are more troubleshooting tips that are beyond the scope of what I can write out on FixYa (like upgrading the firmware on your TV using the USB port) but you can check out the Support Page for your Television.

Philips 42" plasma -- blinking red light

hello, if you have no picture with blinking or flashing leds this means you will need service. its a common problem with these newer sets they have built in protection circut that cuase the tv to shut down and start blinking. this indicates a power problem and according to the number of blinks indicates the fualt location for the repair tech..

it is not something easily reset or user repairable
hope this helps

Six blinking red lights when trying to turn on.

The power supply board went dead. Have it repair or replaced. No other way around this. Thanks, mike H.
