My computer won't play cd or dvd

It is possible that the lens of the drive has gone bad and you will have to replace the drive to fix the issue.

It might be because of the driver conflict. You better open the device manager, and remove the CD/DVD drivers, then reinstall the same. If the problem still persist then check the same in the bios option. Because there must be a conflict in the master slave settings.

Try another disk if still same problem then you have clean your dvd rom lense purchase disk cleaner disk and put in dvd rom then play then it clean your lense .
if still not resolved then if it is warrenty take it to service shop and replaced lense and if it is not in warrenty then repair or buy newe lense.

1. If the CD/DVD drive tray not open.

Open "My computer" windowsand select the CD drive . "Right click" onthe CD drive.You will get apop up windows with the "Eject" option.

If it open that's means the power supply is ok

2. If the DVD drive is not showing on my computer windows or the DVD is not detect the CD/DVD disk
