Sigma BC 1609 Cadence Bicycle Speedometer reads my movement much slower than I am actually going. E.g. moving about 15, reads as 5 mph.

I had the same problem. It is caused because the mount is facing the wrong direction and your computer is swapping speed and cadence. 5 mph would mean 63 RPM of the wheel which probably what your pedal is actually doing. The wheel is actually turning at about 3 times that rate so if you check your cadence it is probably maxing out at 180 even though that wouldn't be possible.

To fix this, just twist your mount 180 degrees on your handlebars or stem and try again. That way the computer is correctly lined up with the mount.

How to open the sensor on rear wheel of Sigma BC1609 wireless odometer. I need to change the battery and there is no slot (to use a coin to open.) Instructions say "use a tool" what tool?

They're talking about a special tool with two little pins on it for turning the battery cover. It's the item on the far right of the 3rd page of the manual. I imagine a bent paper clip might also work in its place.

The manual is here 2009_BA_BC 1609 STS CAD_nat.pdf

I need to reset my Sigma BC 1200 bike odometer. What is the 4 digit number for my tire size of 700x35C = 28x1 5/8 JOe

I had the same problem...the online code that sigma gave is way off. I had a 700x23c and it was telling me 2133. Sheldon's site told me 1302 which seems much closer. I'm heading out tonight to test it. Here's the site...
