Question about LG Refrigerators
Hello Rukhsar Azmi,
If your trouble is... "Not Defrosting" you will doubtless
get a USEFUL answer if you give a model number.
If you are seeing an un-yeilding mass of FROST
in the rear of your FREEZER AREA... your refrigerator
is likely warm.. and FREEZER is doing a terrible job.
You should remove all your perishables
(evaluate for disposal or careful consumption).
Use fans (but no heaters) to blow into the
open drawers & doors.
Be prepared for a LOT OF WATER
(towels & wet vacuum is recommended).
>> DEFROSTING a couple of (3) days is ideal.
A defrost circuit is not terribly difficult to fix...
but PRESENTLY without any information...
It is EXTREMELY difficult to point you in the
Defrost is typically an AUTOMATIC function...
Controlled by either a DEFROST TIMER or
a POWER CONTROL BOARD. Again... typically the most expensive (but easiest to change).
1). Defrost TIMER or Defrost PC Board
There are only TWO other parts... (assuming no one has rearranged your wiring):
2). Defrost HEATER Element (Test for continuity).
3). Defrost thermostat (opens at room temperature).
Take pictures & tag wires BEFORE removing anything.

It sounds like your keypad (membrane switch) is failing.
If you or someone you know decide to work on it, we have *critical* safety, disassembly, and troubleshooting info at our site, and our link is at our listing here on FixYa: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk
You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here: http://tinyurl.com/gv383
There should also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel, which is very helpful when troubleshooting. You can use it to test for a bad keypad.
If you'd rather have us fix it for you, we do that for $39.95 plus parts and you can visit us via our link her eon Fixya http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk
We're happy to help and we appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

sounds like you have a bad ground in the dash area or possibly the brake arm is contacting or rubbing a wire when you press on it. these wires problems are hard to find and take a lot of time. start by investigating the brake peddle area
