SOURCE: Door can't be opened

Potential reasons for it: - Door Lock/Switch Assembly Failure - In this case it should be replaced. - Door Lock unit is broken or removed from the door. - Look for disconnected wires to the door Lock/Switch unit. - Door Lock/Switch unit Failure First disconnect the machine power cable from the wall socket. You should remove machine's top cover and then you will have an access to the door lock unit.

SOURCE: WF100 door wont open

The interlock has jammed, first try gently pushing the door frame on the latch side of the door and then hit the outer door frame with your fist, not too hard but a reasonable bang this may release the door, if this works spray a lubricant into the latch hole in the panel, open and close the door a few times before reusing, if this fails then you have to force the door open, the best way is to remove the lid and manouver the door lock from the inside, either the lock or the latck will eventually break, this is unavoidable, then replace the interlock and any other broken part.

SOURCE: Dishwater won't stop trying to drain even when door is opened

The drain valve is stuck open. This is electrically operated, but may have some debris inhibiting movement. If you can physically move it (with the power off) this should repair the problem.

SOURCE: LG Front Loan washing machine

If your LG is similar to mine, there could be water in a hose that is located behind the small door on the bottom front of the washer. Open the door and drain the hose. Be sure to have a bowl or pan to let the water run into. Once the water is drained hopefully the washer door will open. When i brought my washer this was one of the selling features the sales person told me about.( The door and hose are accessible to the consumer to prevent them from having to call for a repair) Hopefully this will be your only problem. I bought an LG washer on June 28, 2008. It is now August 21st and my machine is still broken. It broke the FIRST time I ever used it (July 13th) and it still has not been repaired. (Per the repair person it is a water sensor problem which has been "ordered") I wish I had purchased another kenmore instead. I had my kenmore 16 years and never ONCE has a problem with it. I simply wanted to update my laundry room. WHAT A MISTAKE for me to purchase LG!!!!

SOURCE: I need to reset duet washing machine to open the door

I have a Whilrpool Duet washing machine, model: GHW9100LQ1
Type 199-AWM075/BL It works perfectly all the cycles, but every time it must start a new wash load, I have to unplug and plug it again to start a new cycle and works perfectly. There is no flashing numbers o letters. I changed the CNTRL-ELEC part, code 8182221 and that part was not the problem. The machine still does the same. Please, could you be so kind and tell me what part is cousing the problem- reseting every time I do a new load by plugging and unpluggind- Looking forward to your kind reply. Thank you!

Door won't open, no error message, other electrics all working

try unplugging unit first; may need a reset. plug back in, and turn power "on". if no luck, door switch module or even the main board may be bad. try draining water in drum via behind small door on lower left front.

Door will not open or run. Looks like machine has ran through the cycle.

Many modern machines will not open the door unless all of the water has been drained. Check by lowering the drain hose to floor level and catching any water in a pan or bucket. If you get only a small amount, try unplugging the machine for a few minutes to reset the computer system. If still nothing, it may be time to call for service. Good luck!

Front door won't open on 2003 Kenmore Washer and no release

When I had the same issue I tried the following things. It has been so long I do not recall the exact order I did them in or what finally worked but it did open.
Unplugged it for 5 mins.
Turned off everything else in house.
Plugged it back in.
Pushed Drain/spin - start (I could hear it try to click locked)
Then I pushed to stop it (then I hear the door lock click)
I tried all the different wash options and finally one of them allowed me to cancel the wash and the door unlocked. I know I unplugged it at least twice because of the computer needing to be reset. When a tech was working on it a couple of years ago I had him explain a few things and I don't recall the exact # of min's you are supposed to wait so I use 5 min's.

The water was still in my washer and I had to open the bottom and drain it by opening the cleanout to the pump. Large mess on the floor. Make sure you unplug the machine first. It will get on the wiring.

I also learned recently that your house electrical needs to be correct. These machines are extremely picky about their power.

Bosch washer door won't open after wash is done

The door is probably locked, because the water is still draining. If this is not the answer, the the suction between the dor and the opening is too strong and you must get it weakened by a professional. There is one more solution, and that is to unplug the machine, reset it, and then try opening the door.

Door will not open

On my machine which is identical to this one I have to press and hold the stop button to end the programme and then turn off and unplug the machine to reset it. Following this run a spin only cyle(M) to get rid of the water.
Once the machine has drained and ended the M cycle try the door again. If this fails unplug the machine wait for a few seconds and then plug it in again and turn the program knob to any programme but do not start it running, just try the door it should open.
If all this fails it may be a problem with the contacts for the electrical stage of the door release or a faulty door lock.
Good luck, Al
