First lock all the doors. then enter the drivers door with the key, turn on the igntion, don't try to start it, leave it on for ten minutes, turn it iff for five seconds , try to start.
IFF HDD PASSWORD ,IVE GOT SAME PROBLEM IF JUST ADMIN OR USER SET IN BIOS JUST RESET IT ,DID U LEAVE UR BATTERY OUT FOR 12 HOURS OR SO THIS USUALLY SOLVE THIS IF NOT LOOK ON GOOGLE FOR UR JUMPER AND WHERE ITS LOCATED TRY THAT OPTION ,FAILING THIS TRY PC WORLD ,THEY SORTED MINE FOR £50
have u tried to cahrge it overnight before turning on? if not then try that 1st, iff still wont switch on make sure fullly charged them turn on as if u would do then take the battery pack out of it so it is all unplugged to anything and totally useless the n put back together the battery pack etc and should be good to go?!!
ok try and eject the disk, it might work then plug it into the tv with the scart lead not the hdmi ( if he is using hdmi) hold down the power button (on the consol not the controller) for a few seconds and it sould beep a few times. this resets the consol. then try turning it on if it doesnt work it sounds like a hard drive fault but dont panic 90% of these can be fixed in the house. remove the plate on the end of the consol where the hard drive is and remove the hard drive. (make sure the consol is off) then make sure the connections in the end are clean and dust free then replace it all. this usually sorts it. iff not you need a new hard drive. if you do decide to buy one dont be conned into buying a ps3 specific model as it is the same as any laptop hard drive. ( 2.5 inch) unfortunately he will loose his save data if this is the case but at least the consol will work
you need to install the drivers for it, or atleast some sort of recovery disc. Iff so, then try updating the devices drivers and set it to browse from you CD/DVD Dtive, and it should re-install the files if they needed to be.
