If it will do that 10 times in a row, it isn't the battery. The most likely cause is overheating. Take it in to a Vacuum Cleaner service centre.

Although there are Vax Carpet cleaner YouTube videos about changing belts, I can't narrow down which one might apply to you. That said, the Vax support page offers a way to drill down into manuals after you supply a serial number which they show you how to find. And they offer a chat as well.

I am sorry, but you did not give me enough information about the Vax vacuum to be able to get you a user manual.
If you go to the following webpage and put your information (C90) into the search box and then click submit.
It will take you to a page with numerous c-90 vacuums on it, pick out the vacuum you are using, click submit and it will take you to a webpage to download your user manual for your vacuum.
