Problem with cisco sg500

I'm not familiar with the device, but it might be something in the configuration. It could be DHCP, it could be something deeper.
I suggest contact Cisco support directly, they have support forums too.

How you install a light and plug in in one switch

1) Copy following link for wiring combo device:
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-switches.html#combo2

2) Neutral wire is required for outlet to work.

3) Outlet will be ON all the time.
Some combo devices can be wired so that switch controls outlet, but other models cannot be wired so switch controls outlet.
Look for break-away fin located between dark screws on combo device. If device has break-away fin, then switch can control outlet.

How do i program a atp1277w light switch

The atp1277 is not a programmable device.
Once the device is installed and wired correctly, then it will automatically sense body heat (infrared heat) when somebody enters smallish room. This is not for large room.
When heat is detected, the light turns ON.
This means the device has to be pointed at the entry door.

The device has an override switch which appears as a small square button on face of device located below the curved sensor screen.

The ATP1277 sensor device replaces any single-pole switch, and can also be wired 'in parallel' so that two of the devices can be installed in a room, and either device will turn light ON.
No Neutral wire is needed. Device has 2 wires. Switch has 2 wires. Replace switch with device, and if the device does not work, then reverse the device wires.

Why does the charge rundown over night even when the device is off

Please provide brand and model name of your GPS device, without you will receive generic advice only.

Some devices, e.g. by Tomtom, do not really switch off when you think they do, they go to stand-by mode, requiring less power but still enough to drain the battery. The upside is, when you need the device for driving, the start-up is considerably more swift than on a cold reboot.

Instructions on how to really switch off the device depends on brand and model. Some Tomtom devices switch off by pressing and holding the on/off switch until you hear the Tomtom drum sound (~15 seconds). They will show a diagnostic screen first and by another short tap on the on / off switch shuts down the device completely. You will know you've done it right if on next switch on you have a progress bar with a hard drive icon displayed.

Installed cooper single pole lighted light swith, switch doesn't light. whats wrong?

People frequently write fixya report that lighted device doesn't light up.
And they report device is wired correctly.
Or they report one device lights up and the other doesn't.
If two devices don't work, I suggest they swap devices to see if same problem happens in other location. No fixya customer has added comment to reveal result of swapping device.

After searching Leviton, Lutron and Cooper websites, there is no conclusive answer.
Manuals show lighted devices, and show ordinary one-for-one replacement wiring ... there is no secret technique for getting device to light, just attach wires like ordinary switch.

Check that ground wire is connected.
Install device in another switch location and see if it works there, which would indicate possible electrical ground fault at first location.
The wrong device was put inside the sales box.
The device is defective.

I have a combination single pole switch. Light switch and receptacle. In have running in the old box 2 white, 2 black and a ground. How do I install the new switch to have power to the light switch and...

You are replacing old switch-receptacle device.
New device also has switch and receptacle.
You want switch to control light, but not receptacle.
You want receptacle 'hot' all the time.

You have 2 cables that enter box.
Each cable has white, black and ground wires.
Ground wires are twisted together and attached to green ground screws and not discussed more.

Screws on new device:
Side 1 of device: New device has dark screw(s) or brass screws on one side ... these screws are connected together by brass plate. This side is the Hot side of device.

Side 2 of device: Other side has 2 separate and unconnected screws. These screws are not connected in any way. Each of the 2 disconnected screws sits opposite the switch and opposite the plug.

Cables.
One cable comes from breaker box. This cable has a Hot and Neutral wire. The Hot is black. Neutral is white.
The other cable goes to Load (light). Black supplies power to Load (light), and white connects to Neutral.
If you are uncertain which is which, testing is shown below.

Connect the device:
Side 1 of device: Black Hot goes to dark colored screw(s) that are connected by brass plate. (This is only wire connected to this side of device)
Side 2 of device: Black that goes to Load (light) connects to screw that sits opposite the switch.
Side 2 of device: White Neutral connects to screw that sits opposite the plug

One wire is left .. the white from light. This white wire connects to white Neutral wire. Since white neutral is already connected to device, look on back of device to see if there is a quick-connect hole for you to shove wire into back of device. If device doesn't have quick-connect, then twist white wires together, and add a short jumper wire to device, and then all the whites are connected to neutral. Circuit is complete.

How to test for Hot and Neutral
Separate wires.
Turn on power.
Test each wire to bare ground.
Tester lights up on hot wire.
Now test hot wire to other wires.
Tester lights up on neutral
