Question about PfaFF Sewing Machines

Open Question

Pfaff Creative 4.5 stitches fancy stitches on top of each other or seemingly backwards.

I attempted to stitch a fancy stitch that was sort of loops in a row. It only stitched about 1/2 inch then went backwards and began to go forward again. Then I tried to stitch a word which began TR. The T stitched half and then went back over that half and the leg went down behind the beginning leg. Then it began to type the R over the T. I then tried to type an eyelet stitch, one with an eyelet and a couple stitches in between. It stitched this backwards and very unevenly the two sides of the eyelet were off center so it didn't make an eyelet at all.

SOURCE: Kenmore sewing machine - uneven top stitches

Am about to buy this machine for my wife and the sewing machine cabinet I have chosen has parameters as far as the overall dimensions of the machine. Can you provide me with the width, depth and height of this sewing machine. The cabinet is offered for sale by Sears so it ought to work but still I will feel better with this information. Thank you.

SOURCE: Stitch is uneven, not straight, and tension off on top and bottom

on my industrial machine this was caused by the wrong size needle. the length was off just a fraction. just an idea, in case you bought generic needles or something.

SOURCE: stitching too tight on top

I found a screw on the bobbin case (where you put the cotton for the underside stitching) which was very loose. I tightened it and that created more tension for the bottom thread which solved the problem.

SOURCE: backward stitching

Knowing which kind of machine you have helps alot. Just guessing but maybe the reverse mechanism is stuck and needs some oil in it to free it up. Or the buttonhole mechanism is stuck in reverse part of it.
Probably you should have it looked at.

sounds like a top tension problem. give the tensioner a good clean especially between discs first before going any further.

When I embroider with my Pfaff Creative 2 the top tension pulls bobbin thread up too much. I changed toe tension on top but it still does the same thing. How can this be fixed?

Suggest you do rethreading ,then test the stitches on straight stitch. If top stitches is loose you have to reduce the upper thread tension, if the bottom stitches is loose you have to increase the upper thread tension. Adjust accordingly till you can get a perfect straight stitch. If okay then you can continue your embroidery work.

Can i do a large applique with my pfaff 7570 using the large hoop

Both the 7560 and the 7570 will only stitch out to the largest hoop it came with which is a 120 x 115 CM hoop (approx 4 1/4 x 4 3/4 inches). If you are using the Creative Big Fantasy Hoop or a Hoop-it-All you will need to split out the design so that each piece will fit within the 120 x 115 hoop. Transfer both designs to the machine. If using the original hoop, hoop your fafabric and stitch out the 1st design. Unhoop and rehoop again aligning the fabric with the hash marks on the hoop. You will have to move the design around on the screen to make a perfect fit. Stitch out the 2nd design. If you are using the Creative Big Fantasy hoop, you just have to hoop the fabric once, stitch out the 1st design and loosen the side screw on the hoop and slide the hoop into place for the 2nd design. Stitch out the 2nd design. The same process applied to the Hoop-it-All.

Pfaff 1222's 3 stretch stitches sew wrong and backwards only.

It sounds like the feed mechanism needs oil.

Might be that you need to lower the tensions quite a bit, you'll have to juggle with top and bottom tensions though, and experiment for just this operation with the Sensormatic.

Pfaff 7570 Sewing Slow

Unfortunately, this is most likely a computer board issue and there's just no way to predict if/when a board will go bad.

Your only option at this point is to take it to an authorized Pfaff dealer. If the person who serviced it was an authorized Pfaff tech, take it back to them. If not, do take it to a Pfaff dealer - non-Pfaff authorized techs are not trained on the machines.

Sorry I can't give you a simpler answer, but until this is corrected, your machine won't work properly.

Best,
Kim
