What should I do when error message E1 hapend

An "E1" message appears on the panel. Description: The foot controller was pressed (or the start/stop button was pressed if the foot controller is not connected) and the reverse/reinforcement stitch button was pressed while the presser foot is raised.

Lower the presser foot lever before continuing the operation.

I have an F4 error on my display screen. Machine keeps beeping. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Have you refered to the troubleshooting section of the user's manual? Its' at the back of the manual.

Brother CS-6000 E1 error message - my presser foot is not up!

Did you take this machine apart? If so, then the lever that extends from the thread tension wheel is to the right of the raised presser foot switch plate (inside the sewing machine), keeping the switch from being unpressed.

Take the machine apart again, raise the presser foot, and put the machine back together. This will ensure proper alignment of the plates.

With the foot pedal disconnected from the machine, push the button with the - and upward arrow. to stop sewing use the same button. It is the first button closest to the needle.
