You're kidding, right? You can't figure that out on your own? What is 43,560 divided by 45? Now, take that ANSWER, and multiply it by 45. What did you get, and does it make sense?

I need to know how much stone in tons I need to fill 8.5 acre at 1.5 ft depth

Stone is approximated at about 2700 lbs. per cu. yd.
An acre is 43560 sq. ft.
8.5 acres is 370260 sq. ft.
There 9 sq.ft. per sq. yd., thus there are 41140 sq. yds. in 8.5 acres.
A cubic yard is 3 feet by 3 feet by 3 feet (LxWxH).
Since you are only going to be at 1.5 feet, each square yard is equal to 1/2 cubic yard, so to figure the cubic yards divide sq.yds. by 2, thus you get 20570 cu. yds. of stone.

20570 x 2700 = 55539000 pounds. Divide by 2000 to get tons:
55539000/2000 = 27769.5 tons.

I have 4 acres front and back is 650 feet wide so hhow ow many feet deep will make the 4 acres.

There are 640 acres in a section.
A section is one mile by one mile
A mile is 5,280 feet
A square mile contains 5.280 X 5,520 = 27,878400 sq ft.
divide by 640 = 43,560 square feet per acre
multiply by 4 acres = 174,240 sq ft
divide by width 650ft = 268.06 feet

What is the radius of a 3/4 acre circle (in feet)

Oh wow, lots of math going on here...

There are 4840 square yards in an acre and 9 square feet in a square yard (4840 x 9 = 43,560).

An acre is an old timers measurement used in agriculture...
it was 4 poles wide and 40 poles long. A pole is equivalent to sixteen and a half feet. So back then, an acre was a piece of farming land 660 feet long (220 yards or one eighth of a mile) and 66 feet wide (22 yards or one eightieth of a mile).

Acre is a measure of area, which would be square feet.

Feet are a measure of distance.

The best you could do is something like this:
An acre is 43, 560 square feet.
Draw/imagine a square or a rectangle that would cover that much area.

If it is a square, it would be (approximately) 208.7 feet on each side.

Its perimeter (the distance around it if you walk an imaginary fence around you acre-sized plot) would be 834.8 feet.

Trying to to figure out an acre of 'Circle' - hmmmmm???

Radius = 1/2 of Diameter

sorry, just can't wrap my head around this to come up with the correct equation.
maybe we can get lucky with some other brainiac taking what I did provide and come up with a solution for you?

Square - It would be 208.7 feet across if you walk across it, and the same if you walk the other way across it.

The dimensions of my lot are 83 X 192 X 150 X 151, what is the acreage

http://www.wikihow.com/Calculate-Acreage

Hmm. Width X Length = square footage.

Square footage divided by 43,560 = acreage.

You seem to have two lots. Is one 83 X 192 and the other 150 X 151? If so, sum those two products and then divide by 43,560 for the total acreage. If you want the acreage of each lot separately, divide 83 X 192 by 43560 for lot A. That is .3658 acre.

Then divide 150 X 151 by 43560 for Lot B. That is .5199 acre.

Total of both is roughly .885 of an acre, in other words about 9 tenths of an acre.

Length and width of an acre

An acre is about 4047 square meters or about 43,560 square feet.

A plot of land one meter by 4047 meters is an acre. A plot of land one foot by 43,560 feet (8 1/4 miles) is also an acre.

A square plot of land about 63.6 meters or 208.7 feet on a side is also an acre.

I have a lot tha is 152.95' X 119.88' X 130.00' X 50.00'. What part of an acre is this.

Hello,
  1. This lot does not have the form or a regular quadrilateral (rectangle, square, parallelogram, etc.)
  2. So you cannot calculate its area, you have to know exactly the shape it has.
  3. With polygons, one usually cuts them into triangles.
  4. You have to cut it into two triangles,
  5. measure the base and the height of each triangle,
  6. use the area formula for the triangle ( area = heightX base/2)
  7. After you calculate the areas of both triangles, you add them to get the area of the the whole lot in ft^2.
  8. Using the conversion formula between acres and ft^2 which is 1 acre=43560 ft^2, you divide the area of the lot in square feet by the number 43560 ft^2 and express the result as a percentage or a fraction .
Hope it helps.
Thanks for using FixYa.
