SOURCE: Speakman shower faucet washer replacement

Keep unscrewing, to the left. Past the point that would normally be the full "on" position for the valve. I've just removed my Speakman Kent shower stem, and because it is damaged where the washer attaches, will have to replace it (both of them).

How do I determine the model number of Speakman Shower faucet?

Before replacing parts, check the diverter for corrosion that prevents free operation.

Price pfister classic series kitchen faucet stops between double sinks and will not turn into left sink.

Shut off the water under the sink, loosen the nut for the faucet careful not to strip it. Try to move the faucet into the desired position, if it works clean the areas of the connections that you can get to and tighten back down carefully so that the connections are not stripped and its not too tight. Make sure it moves as desired, turn the water back on. If it doesn\'t move after the main nut is loosed, then I suggest dismantling the faucet, clean it all with alcohol and try again. If not a new faucet may be in order, it is hard to properly replace the inside portions of a faucet without proper training, a handy type person could though. I suggest if internal faucet repair is attempted that you take the parts with you to the store and compare carefully. Good luck!

We purchased a 16927 Series SSSD 5 years ago. the faucet doesn't swivel on the base, so the nut securing the faucet to the sink continues to loosen under the sink. I've tried lubrication, I've...

There is a possibility of corrosion between swivel and base. Remove faucet and take to a work table and try and twist swivel spout off. I t may be tight, but the unit is not satisfactory and may need replacement. I have repaired such faucets before and many have been cheaper to replace. There a o rings between spout and body if you get it apart check mating surfaces any erosion discard unit. If OK replace o rings and use silicon grease. No petroleum products as this will cause o rings to swell. Good Luck

Leaking water from head when turned off

It is normal for the water to trickle for a little time while the water drains from the shower head. If this continues you will need to repair the shower faucet

I have a 1928 home with a speakman mixometer, the water constantly leaks from the shower handle, also the cold water faucet leaks when it is turned on only. Thanks for your support

http://www.plumbingspecialties.com/downloads/PPfistertoSpeak.pdf......this website offers several blow up diagrams of the mixometer. More than likely it is the packing and all you have to do is tighten the packing nut. You can do this by removing the handle and tightening the nut below it. You may have to remove the escuteon to gain access but the blow up should help you. If you have any questions just ask.

Thx
Ken

Delta Faucet (Series 2467) Sprayer doesn't work

Yes, the diverter assembly is probably corroded or clogged shut. Garunteed its the problem on a 10 year old delta kitchn faucet. The diverter routes water from the spout to the sprayer when the sprayer is triggered.

Speakman shower faucet washer replacement

there may be two nuts, one for the stem and one for the stem barrel.if not then the stem does just screw out,may just have a build up of something on it,try and working it back and forth to try and break it loose, careful not to damage anything.
