SOURCE: oven showing F2 fault

I concur with Catriver. F2 means that the oven temperature has exceeded a preset threshold. It could be for any of the following reasons: Welded relay contacts. Cooling fan stalled or blocked air flow to rear of unit. High resistance in oven sensor leads/high resistance in connectors especially at sensor in rear. There could be an open thermal switch in the yellow leads. The oven sensor would measure around 2650 ohms at the "clean temperature".

SOURCE: Wall Oven

Hello zultar777,
The oven will fit however it will stick out a few inches beyond the front of the cabinet. If that looks ok to you, then go for it.... Is ther any way you can open up the wall behind the oven to allow the new oven to recess in deeper? You may want to investiaget that option. If the wall behind the stove is a non- weight bearing wall..you should be able to cut it opne and remove a section of the wall studs.. also..check to see if the new oven uses any mounting tabs to lock it in place.. if it does and these are close to the front of the oven, you may have to jury rig something to secure the oven.. It may or may not use them thou so check with the manufacturer..
Good Luck
Regards,
Rick

SOURCE: oven will not heat to temperature setting

Called a Sears Tech to check it out. He found it was the control board/clock/timer. He said it was the first one he had seen go bad, and was happy I had the part number from your site, as it did not yet appear on his computer.

Hello Brad,
The thermostat is a small diameter appx. 6 inch long round probe it looks like this
11_4_2011_12_23_15_pm.jpgTo test it for proper functionality ya need to use a multi meter capiable of reading ohms of resistiance...unplug the sensor from the wiring and place the meter leads onto the 2 wire ends of the sensor and at room temperature once the oven has been off check for between 1060-1100 ohms at the sensor if its good,if the ohms value is much higher or lower that 1060-1100 at room temp. the sensor is defective.

Our Frigidaire 24 in wall oven won't light. The igniter glows but there appears to not be any gas present.

The ignitor is weak and needs to be replaced. You can not tell by looking at it. You have to measure the amp draw through the ignitor.
